Can we take a moment here to appreciate that we have Nick...I can only imagine what the Cowboys were asking for.

Bill O'brien would probably have given up 25 and two future 1sts for Booker or Golden.

    This would be really good.

Give me Higgins/Ratledge/Milum/Collins/Sampson or Brashard Smith. It's possible all of these guys fall to the Texans place in the draft and even if they dont and Caserio wants them, he's got plenty of 2026 picks to use to trade up and get his 5 guys. Love Parrish.

That’s fine then. Means Sanders is at 34 and we trade down with either Steelers, Browns next pick or Raiders.

    They all need him.

They made phone calls around the league Thursday and engaged with teams about potential trades up and trades down. It’s unclear how high the Texans were willing to move up but two sources indicated one of the teams they tried to trade with was the Dallas Cowboys to move up to No. 12.

“I don’t want to say we talked to the whole league, but we probably talked to the whole league at every different level,” Caserio said, adding he was probably more active Thursday than he has been in any of his five years leading the draft. “If teams aren’t interested, they aren’t interested. Nothing we can do about it.”

“We think we’re going to get some pretty good football players tomorrow,” Caserio said. “We felt like the value of the draft was basically in the middle, so we’ll try to take advantage of our opportunities here tomorrow.

“We put ourselves in a pretty good position for next year as well.”

“We have more flexibility tomorrow than we did today,” Caserio said. “There’s still a number of good players out there that we really like. We’re probably not going to get everybody, but there’s probably going to be some players that we feel good about that we feel are going to be an asset to our program.”

The Texans liked Texas offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr., a league source said, but after conferring with agents, realized he was going much earlier than where many mock drafts had him going.

The Texans also liked Alabama guard Tyler Booker, who went 12th to the Cowboys; Emeka Egbuka, who was drafted No. 19 by the Buccaneers; and guard Donovan Jackson, who went to the Vikings at No. 24, one pick ahead of Houston, though it’s unclear if the Texans would have taken him there. The Texans liked him, but also thought they could get him later.

I’d take day 2 haul of Burden, Sanders or Collins, and Savaiinaea or Ratledge.
