Even in the 20's that's still a good trade. Our pick will be in the 20's, possible 30's, I'd take that in a heartbeat beat
Free agency and trades aside, we're probably in a 2-year rebuild of our offense. We presently have ONE "good" OL in Tytus Howard. The rest are fair to horrible. That means we need FOUR OL. We need a third starter at WR, two if Tank Dell is unable to return to form. We need a quality TE. We need a quality RB, unless Dameon Pearce thrives in our new system and we extend him. So that's 7-8 guys we need on offense and we can do that over two drafts provided we don't miss on high picks and can avoid catastrophic injuries. We need to take the best of what we can get this year and look forward to having a lot of picks next year to make our offense elite. Hopefully we can compete for a Super Bowl in 26'.
Emmanwori met with the Texans in the combine. Ratledge would be the other one but at 25 would have been reaching but he will also be gone if you don't take him in the 2nd.
Non-Giants QBs in the NFC East: Daniels, Dak, Hurts. Some question marks for sure, but all have won 11 games or more. Non-Atlanta QBs in the NFC south: Injured Carr (or a 2nd round rookie), Bryce Young, Baker Mayfield. Dart could be legit good and the Giants could still finish 4th in the division. If Penix stays healthy and takes a step forward or Cousins looks better 2 years post-acl (as is the trend), the Falcons could cruise to the division. If the Falcons get to where the Buccs are this year, they'd pick 19. If the Giants All the reports say he has a Tunsil mentality. If moving away from Tunsil was right, not drafting Simmons was too. Note: not totally sure where I stand on this but I lean towards the staff's decision.
