I don’t think the Jets can get a number 1 from anyone for Wilson tbh. Trading ones is usually reserved for All pro/pro bowl made players. Like Micah Parsons. The last few years, if memory serves correct, ODB was traded for a #1, Mincah Fitzpatrick, Steffon Diggs. Garret Wilson hasn’t had the same production and accolades as those players did prior to getting traded. Yeah he’s had 1000yrds three years straight but 1000yds for a wr in this era is like 750 in previous era.

Anyway I’d like to have him too but not for a #1.

Not so much for Olave given his history of concussions.

Im picking BPA out of OL/WR/TE with pick 1. I might do the same with pick 2.

If I were GM I might apply my entire offseason to the offensive side of the ball. Defense only needs a slot corner and backup safety IMO.

Possibly need another IDL as well... prolly will re-sign Fatukasi or Edwards Jr. (interested to see if we can get Kinlaw)

Might need a 4th edge but that player is prolly a STer as well as an edge (I expect Barnett to get $$$ & Jerry will prolly retire)

I like Nate Hobbs as a slot CB, but will likely get $$$. I trust BDN in draft re: DBs.

I think the extension for Ward was a mistake.

I leave this season feeling like DL is the strength of the team. Whoever they've plugged in at DT has performed well. Im having to ask "who the heck is that guy making plays" and that is a good sign. I'd keep that unit together it shouldnt cost that much. Jacques Cesaire is a name to watch within the coaching ranks.

Im really hoping they make the tough cuts they didnt last year. Need to free up enough FA money to find a veteran OL (center preferably) and then whatever impact DB they can find. Charvarious Ward rumors say he's looking to leave California for a fresh start and get away from the PTSD of having lost his baby daughter there. He has ties to DeMeco and would make an awesome addition.

Agreed, but is it the players, the coaching, or the scheme? Those latter two are far cheaper and easier to fix IMO given the $$$ and draft pick investment already in this group. I also have little faith in the Texans' front office drafting the right replacements to be honest. Our hit rate on home grown OL picks is really poor.

Feels like the right move is to fix the coach first, implement the right scheme, and then jettison the wrong OLs we have.

Gotta hire OL coach and draft guys that fit what he wants on the OL. A guy like Munchak may want totally different players than say a guy like Joe Philbin might want. After that, I hope Caserio spends big money on one premium FA like C Drew Dahlman. Then signs a cheaper vet like John Feliciano or Joe Moteboom. Then drafts a guy like Charles Grant/Dylan Fairchild etc... in the 3rd rd.

    An OL of

    Tunsil/Noteboom/Dahlman/Scruggs/Fisher

With Grant or Faichild as a reserve looks much better to me.

I would use Howard's money to also add a S/CB/Blocking TE.

I'm drafting the best WR/TE availble in rds 1-2 unless an awesome DT/Edge/OL falls to 1-25. Honestly this is a great draft to trade back if possible.

We.need a young DT. We can't expect the same.production from 30yr+ old players. I think they can get OL and TE before the draft. Kyle Pitts?

What if I guarantee you could get Tyler Warren at 25. Would you still trade for Wilson??

This is the way. Except I think they’re gonna pull a trade back into the second. Maybe a similar deal like what landed us Diggs. I hope they wait till draft day and get more value for our first.

I don't know how he can finagle the money, but that would be a huge improvement. He's my top hope for FA.

Yes, and I would draft Fannin Jr., Terrance Ferguson, Gunnar Helm,Elijah Arroyo later in the draft.

If they're willing to take a chance on Arroyo (2022 ACL) he's got as much talent as the top TE's in this draft. Remember OD fell to the 4th rd because of a previous ACL injury.

Wilson is a top 5 WR at a young age.

Dahlman shares an agent with Schultz & Brevin.

We can finagle the money... 4 years, $40M?

Cutting Howard and Mason would get you Dahlman and with a couple of mil more Noteboom.

Don't think we're cutting Howard... Mason? Not sure of his mindset after the injury

I lean this way, too - my ideal offseason is to sign free agent offensive linemen and draft skill players. I do not want this line relying on any more inexperienced linemen. Go get violent, angry men who will die for CJ Stroud.

Milum looks more ZBS ready than Booker. Booker and Milum are both very violent people movers. Milum is the better fit. Booker is a great player though.
