To be fair, Mark Williams has averaged a whopping 35 games per year. Lakers found something in his physical that made them rescind the trade even though they desperately needed a competent big man. I think Wlliams or no Williams, Suns needed to make the move for another big man.
If they had waited they could've gotten Fleming at 29. Would've shored up two positions of need. I have a hard time believing that even they are this stupid.
Say the Rockets buy a couple picks, or sign some FA rookies. Does their cap hold on a lower salary than the vet min result in more money available for the NTP MLE under the LT?
We shall see. I’m much lower on Maluach. And using the only remaining draft capitals for a broken Mark Williams - not to mention he is vastly overrated - on top of a center pick, is next level resource management not gonna lie.
Man, I don't think Williams "sucked" at all last year. 15/10 on .65 TS%, really solid BPM 3.5, etc. If healthy, I could definitely see him becoming a decent third offensive option for them after Booker and Jalen.
A lot of people don't know this, but Williams and Maluach are the same person. Both looked great in college playing alongside Banchero/Flagg and both are/will be busts in the NBA. Always be wary of big men playing with the #1 pick.
Agreed. I was shocked. That 26 could easily be the no. 1 pick in the draft. NOP are really going to suck, unless for the first time in his career Zion plays a full year. In six years, he’s played over 30 games twice. The most ever is 70. I’d trade the 27 Phoenix pick for that pick right now, but Atlanta would laugh. NOP were 21-61 last year.
Oh I got the message loud and clear. Even my 8 year old was watching it like WTH is wrong with these guys? I get it, it's a life achievement, years of hard work, but they literally acted like they just couldn't handle the moment. It was bizarre.
