The mathematically likihood of having upsets as often as we have had in the NBA draft is virtually zero, and that evidence alone is better than any theory or narrative that people can spin up.

The NBA fan base self selects for this, because the people with the mathematical aptitude to understand why never become hardcore fans.

Most Hollywood scripts aren't this cliched

This is like a bad Hollywood script that gets shopped around and nobody even wants to take an option on it

Seems like everyone nationally is saying the NBA is rigged. Not a good look for the league. The NBA needs to be careful.

Yeah, I'll never forget the Donoghy thing, it was swept under the rug way too quickly and now we have global sports betting with over/under for players every single night. Anyone can bet, just pull out your phone and you can bet on the game right now.

I don't know when it will happen and I don't know which league it'll be but I would not be surprised at a future major scandal of a ref fixing games to get to an over/under for a player for themselves or for some third party. We already had a bit of a scandal for Shohei...also swept under the rug.

It really is a matter of time at this point, having betting get MORE intertwined with sports is just not a good thing. It's just a matter of time for some huge betting scandal for one of these leagues.

I don’t see how FVV + Brooks + #10 for KD wouldn’t be the best “retooling around Booker” offer Suns get. I’d probably try to offer Tari over Brooks

Idk who to take in this draft lol

Little jealous Spurs get Harper or Giannis

I don't see how anyone can preach for continuity and giving this team another shot.

Package these picks and whoever for some legitimate talent. I'll take Lauri Markannen at this point. Praying that our young guys finally learn how to score after 4-5 years is just insane. We would have gotten swept if Fred didn't turn into 2021 All Star FVV. At the very least, get a guard who can create a basket like Simons. U can get him for relatively cheap. But god knows Stone only shows up once a year when he's obligated to.

Sorry @OremLK I didn't get the reference. Had to look it up, but yeah lawyers and bankers seem to embody that name...

"A common theme in lawyer jokes is to present a lawyer or law firm, particularly in parody settings, with a gag name such as the commonly used "Dewey, Cheatem & Howe"[12] (a pun on the phrase "Do we cheat 'em? And how!"[13]). The gag name pokes fun at the perceived propensity of legal professionals to take advantage of their clients. This gag name is also used more broadly as a placeholder for any hypothetical law firm." Wikipedia

That's the only thing that's gone stop Wemby. Other than that dude is a cheat code.

Cooper gone ball out next to Kyrie & AD

Hell even the Pelicans got Zion who is a beast when he actually plays.

    Memphis got JA & JJJ

Maybe in the near future. I don't think its a matter of if , but when. The current situation combined with his size just doesn't bode well.

Or he's Bobby Jones, which isn't a knock and even great as a championship piece, but #1 generational? We will see. Not totally sold. Do you think Amen as he is right now after the highlights of this season, if that Amen is in this draft, does Cooper still go #1?

The owners own a franchise that is connected to all of the other franchises. It would be nice to be the team gifted with Wemnbanyama, but Wembanyama being in the league lifts each team's value. Doncic being on the Lakers makes their TV contract much more lucrative than if he were on the Mavericks which lifts each team's value. The owners know that the league comes first.

There definitely can be talent at that range but the question we should be asking is it worth it?

Someone said we could draft a 3 and D guy or a backup Center as a replacement for Adams (who is a FA) and its like...yeah we could DRAFT that guy...or if we were to strike out on Durant/Booker/Giannis we could just also offer it around the league for a veteran that will slot right in and do that any ways.

It can make a big difference sometimes.
