Jeremiah Fears, Derik Queen, Kasparas Jakucionis or Jase Richardson.

A 3 and D shooting guard ideally. Fears is a PG project so thats a longshot.

Exactly. The people running the Mavericks seem like certified window lickers and Popovich is gone.

So how much did our Mavs pick lose value?

Adam Silver-grew up loving the dying NBA/ABA era of the 70s where his favorite team the Knicks won their two lone championships. He was there live when the Rockets beat the Knicks in 94. I promise you we will never win anything under Silvers watch. The man has turned this era into very similarly resembling 70s ABA with 3s and just like the leagues then, this league is dying with falling ratings so his answer is to rig up teams that sell and build hype and he's holding on to dear life for the old guard of Bron, and Steph to keep holding the NBA above water for now. Didn't just rig the Luka to Lakers, but the Lakers shoot like a thousand more FTs than the 2nd most ft attempted team since LeBron went to LA iirc.

He couldn't rig for the Knicks bc of how it would look, but for the benefit of selling the NBA as a while, he can rig things. Hell, Dallas let Brunson go to NY so there might be a history with Silver already making under the table deals with Dallas.

All they have to do is broadcast the actual lottery live. People would 100% watch the longer drawn out event of them actually doing it live and they'd make extra advertisement dollars. The fact they don't do this tells you all you need to know.

    100%.

Even if some think it's boring and it won't get the high viewership.

At least we would know 100% it's legit and there isn't any conspiracy.

Lol this would be drafting Reed Sheppard all over again, a little taller but still, and I think Reed is the better propsect by far.

Yep, I'm not interested in this pick at all pretty much.

    I was wrong

This is just so upsetting, even our escapes from the American nightmare are blatantly, disgustingly corrupt

U gotta be pretty naive to think this sht isnt rigged.

The stupidest trade in sport history and winning the nba lottery with a 1.8% chance right after? What a weird coincidence.

Paul George and CJ McCollum were 10th picks.

I say trade back for a guy who can contribute now as well as a later 1st rnd pick and take Rasheer Fleming with the later pick.

With the way the league likes to rig **** up, I would be surprised if we win a championship in my lifetime. Would probably have better luck winning the powerball

Lol!! This is hilarious. I've been talking with one of the guys at a local store for weeks about how the NBA is going to reward the Mavs for giving Luka to the Lakers and the Spurs will end up in the top 4. I didn't think both would come true, but damn! LOL.

Ace Bailey just went from being 6-10 to 6-7. Combine just hurt that dudes stock. He may be there at #10 now.

#6 pick for Wizards. That’s brutal for them.
