The NBA is nothing without the players. I wouldn't call Silver a Boss. NBA commissioner is a manager. There is only so much he can do. He said no more load managing. he said no more accolades if you don't play a certain amount of games. there is only so much this dude can do. David stern was lucky he had players that were dogs and cared about the fans. All Stern did was open up the game internationally and handed out dumb dress codes.
everybody on earth thinks they can make the all star game fun again. it's never happening unless the players lock in and care about us as fans. bench players getting millions they dont give f*ck if we are entertained, lol.

Maybe in silver’s nba but in the nfl everyone knows who the boss is and they’re a much more successful league. Taking away all star accolades off a players resume would go a long way. Silver is too meek and try’s to appease everyone so nobody wins. If the players don’t want to play get players in there that do. They’ll miss that recognition eventually. There’s guys that are there every year ready to play but the guys who take it for granted get all the pt.

I'm thinking it gots to be a 3 on 3 tourney. I like the tourney idea for sure but it really screwed over guys like I forgot Cade even was in this game tonight. 3 on 3 tourney, Top 4 vote getters from each conference pick their teams, that could be an event itself. Put something on the line too. The in season tournament proved the players care about money. NBA could give a prize award or maybe even make it so the team that wins gets to return to the all-star game next year like the 3 point and dunk contest. Just 3 on 3, 8 team tourney, first to 21.
The games were only semi competitive when the all stars were playing against the young guys. And, for some reason team World just decided to not even play in the final (except for Wemby). Maybe they should just trot out a straight G league team playing all out 100% against the all stars, running plays and playing intense defense.
They could determine home court in the Finals like MLB did once upon a time with the World Series. On second thought, nah, just cancel that ****. Not worth it. It’s an exhibition game! Who cares?! Why must it “be fixed”? Give ‘em a week off or move your gimmicky NBA Cup to February. You’re not “fixing” the dunk contest. You’re not making the ASG competitive. No, not even with a money incentive.
Just do what the nfl is doing and get rid of the game More individual competitions. Let dude go at it 1v1. Bring in some legend to go up against current players in the 3 point contest. Curry vs Reggie type things. the actual all star game is cooked.
