It's a lot But with two more years of cheap control on Ryan, they wouldn't trade him for Matthews and Melton. If they wanted to move Ryan on his own they could get a top 20 prospect for him pretty easily
Ryan is good but he’s not an elite pitcher. He is a 2.5-3.5 war guy you want as your #2 or #3. I could be wrong but I don’t think they’re getting a top 20 prospect in all of MLB for him. Whatever we do we have to get Mullins, his last game splits are a lot better then his season ones and we all know what he can do. No way he is past it at just 30, and because he is a rental at the lowest value possible you will get him for free considering the talent. His “power” isn’t down. He’s hit for fewer extra base hits because he’s hit a lot of grounders but his bat speed and exit velo are still very very good.
