It's a lot But with two more years of cheap control on Ryan, they wouldn't trade him for Matthews and Melton. If they wanted to move Ryan on his own they could get a top 20 prospect for him pretty easily
Ryan is good but he’s not an elite pitcher. He is a 2.5-3.5 war guy you want as your #2 or #3. I could be wrong but I don’t think they’re getting a top 20 prospect in all of MLB for him. Twins eat no money: horrible trade Twins eat <$20M: bad trade Twins eat $20m-$40M: ok trade Twins eat $40M-$60M: good trade Twins eat >$60M: great trade
They wouldn't deal him if they didn't, in my opinion Sub 3 ERA, cheap and 3 years control They aren't dealing him for two guys with good ceilings but also very low floors
Whatever we do we have to get Mullins, his last game splits are a lot better then his season ones and we all know what he can do. No way he is past it at just 30, and because he is a rental at the lowest value possible you will get him for free considering the talent. Per mlb trade rumors. "Correa's power is down substantially this season, and his ground ball rate has spiked to 48.5%--its highest level in five years".
His “power” isn’t down. He’s hit for fewer extra base hits because he’s hit a lot of grounders but his bat speed and exit velo are still very very good.
Id like to keep Diaz. I can’t remember the last time we had a legit offensive threat at C. Besides old McCann and stupid Mitch McLusky.
