Cool- Cease for Caratini, Dubon and Trammel. Blubaugh for Mullins Matthews for Correa and 25M. Okert for RH Okert. Playoff roster Diaz, Walker, Altuve, Pena, Correa, Melton, Mullins, Smith, Yordan Bench- Salazar, Short, Whitcomb, Hummel SP- Framber, Brown, Cease, Arrighetti RP, Hader, Abreu, Javier, Garcia, RH Okert, Sousa, King, Ullola, France if you don’t see a guy you like, like Walter, Meyers or Paredes it’s because I think they are gone. your bench sort of sucks. Whatever. If Yordan isn’t back then Whitcomb or Melton are your worst bat but that’s at least 7 league average quality hitter. If Yordan is ok that’s 8. that team ****s. You traded 6 years of Matthews for 4 playoff runs of Correa. you traded San Diego 3 pieces that improve them- 2 of which have some club control for 1 superior (probably) rental.
So you know their ask would be Diaz, maybe Chas. Too much already for a rental? Not sure about utility IF, but Dubon, Matthews come to mind
I've been nothing but clear !! The only question has been me saying Tucker was eligible for arbitration last Winter. Now I'm pissed. Here you go. Let's settle this: Here is an article dated Dec. 17, 2024 https://bleacherreport.com/articles...tract-extension-talks-after-trade-from-astros Line 23: "The right fielder is estimated by Spotrac to earn $16.7m in his final year under arbitration next season." Why would Spotrac estimate if salary was set.....and not heading to arbitration Line 25: "He (Tucker) could net more than $300m on his next contract " Line 26: "Given that the biggest extension ever signed by Astros was Jose Altuve's $151m deal in 2018" ______ Here in this article dated Dec 13, 2024 https://bleacherreport.com/articles...tract-extension-talks-after-trade-from-astros Paragraph 2: "He's (Tucker) entering his final year of team control - - meaning he'll be a free agent after next season - - where he's like to make around $18m through the arbitration process." __________ Here is an article dated Jan 16, 2025 https://apnews.com/article/kyle-tucker-chicago-cubs-266a69af82aa25739c9cbfc082ddb7d7 Line 7: "Chicago had submitted a $15m figure and the All Star outfielder had asked for $17.5m last week. Absent an agreement, a hearing before a three-person panel would have been held from Jan 27 - thru - Feb 14. (2025) If Tuckers salary was set, why wouldn't it transfer over to the Cubs? Why the need for an arbitration hearing? Ohhhh, because he was eligible for arbitration. Which is what Apache said !!! Clowns (3 or 4 of you) _________ Here is Kyle Tucker Spotrac ( transactions) https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/player/transactions/_/id/17620/kyle-tucker Jan 16, 2025 1 year deal w/Cubs Avoiding arbitration Jan 11, 2024 Signed 1 year deal w/ Hou Avoiding arbitration Feb 10, 2023 Signed 1 year deal/ Hou Avoiding arbitration March 1, 2022 Signed 1 year deal w/ Hou You want the Bull, you get the horns. I can literally present article after article all day.
You said the signing of Branden Rogers prevented the Astros from signing Tucker. That wasn't the case.
Step backward to take a big step forward ? Trade framber to seattle .. according to mlb.com they have 7 top 70 prospects. Get 2 of them , 3 would be greedy .. but i dont think they'd bite for a rental trade hader for another top prospect somewhere else tell Yordan to take the year off , slowly rehab our pitchers .. no pressure I'm assuming we will be under the CBT sell on some other guys as well if possible. Then in the offseason , sign framber and trade for correa .

You have no idea…. When I was working the scoreboard I saw some very “strong” signs of affection between players, especially Dominican ball players. These guys would grab each others nuts, butts, thighs and even touch faces… but would show zero affection towards their wives and only some affection towards their side girls. Dotel, Alou and Bagwell have for sure fondled more men than women.
Had a thing one year where we’d just sit down really close on the couch, start at the knee and just run our hands on the other guys legs toward his nuts until he got uncomfortable and squirmed. I thought everyone did stuff like this.
I don't think i said that. Tell which post # I said the Astros were hoping to sign one of Bregman or the other. They ended up giving up on both. Which they used that money saved to spend. I can play that video again I posted. It was in real time. The video stated that Tucker and Bregman were shopped at the Winter Meetings. No bites then, but as the video clearly stated, "at the making of this video, Bregman was still an Astro." But the Astros were sending a message to Bregman by acquiring Paredes, Cam Smith, and W that they already have his replacement in place. That was saying to Bregman, you can come back.....but at a heavy hometown discount. Video also making it clear Tucker was moved at that point. So Astros didn't have to allocate money to Tucker from arbitration. Video also mentioned Boston and Yankees were still interested in Bregman. But Boston still had Devers and I believe the Yankees signed Jazz C or another 3B around that time. Their was a lot of moving parts, if you idgits want to get hung up on little things, good grief. I'll just put you on ignore. I stand by the reported free agents that might be available like O'Hearn and using Framber, Brendan Rodgers, Whitcomb, Melton, Hummel if it gets it a deal done. Corbin Burnes and Max Fried received over $200m contracts. Framber probably will receive offer as much. As in the article I posted, the biggest contract the Astros have signed has been Altuve at $151m. So I don't Framber re-signs and we probably lose him for nothing like we did Bregman. Jeremy Pena turned down Astros last offer of $105m over 5 yrs. $21m per year. Pena has signed with Boras to get Max money. Yeah I think Pena is gone after this season. Nothing back in return. But i wouldn't trade him at deadline because Short is not ready. Unless a Framber deal or Pena deal nets a top triple A short stop. Money they were saving for Bregman and/or Tucker was then spent on the players they acquired in the Tucker trade (Presley trade) and spent on Rodgers and Christian Walker. Point being money saved for Framber and Pena could buy the Astros some talent as well.
