Don't the Cubs have a right fielder on his final year of his contract and Cam Smith is a natural third baseman? And the Cubs are in a worse position than we are in terms of current standings?
Not quite the same cause it wasn't same day But we were in Seattle and Toro started for us in game 1 of the series, then we traded him for Graveman and he played for Seattle the next day
@Snake Diggit what do you think we could get for framber if we decided to sell? The market for TOR looks pretty juicy ?
I know he hasn't been prime Cease this yr. But the stuff is still there, he's leading the league in strikeouts. Cant wait for Miller and Murphy to work with him. He's a 6 inning pitcher though. Framber/Brown/Cease in the playoffs would be good stuff. Round out the rotation with Arrighetti/Walter and the Stros will get back to winning. Gotta add a bat. I wouldn't be against trading one of the LHRP for a bat and let Garcia/Javier throw out of the bullpen. BTW, has anybody heard how Dubin is doing? The bullpen needs a guy that can throw a couple of innings a couple of times a year.
There is 0% chance of Framber getting traded. I’m the biggest prospect hoarder in the world and even I don’t think it’s a realistic or good idea. But if they did trade him, they’d be looking for a Cam Smith level prospect (MLB top 75) as the headliner, plus a Hayden Wesneski level complimentary piece and a Juan Bello level throw-in. Slow market. I thought the levy would break by now.
From what I have heard/read, the Padres are only interested in trading Cease for other MLB players. They want a catcher, LF, and utility infielder and have no interest in prospects as they are trying to improve the 2025 roster and win this year.
You dont think Miller and Murphy can get him back to where he was earlier this season. I've got faith in Miller/Murphy.
