That’s an awful lot to pay for a RP.

    If you got Duran, sure.

But a rental setup guy? Yikes.

It does say a lot about Gilbert that he's already on his 3rd team.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about Rogers to the Mets. That's a head scratcher.

I love the Duran move. I thought they were a closer away from being an odds on favorite to win it all. Now they've done it. Finally.

I still think they need another quality bullpen arm.

So anyone buying that we are interested in taking on the absolute worst contract in baseball Carlos Correa?

    No way, no how.

Only players we will acquire are players still in their ARB years or a low paid veteran like an O'Hearn.

Not even close to being the worst contract in baseball

Worst contract in baseball? Anthony Rendon says hi.

    Never go full Apache Warrior.

I would totally resign Jon back and trade him to the Blue Jays for Springer

Rendon will never see the field again. And he's got only 1 year left. And he's not gonna play again.

So let's start over, shall we?

Carlos Correa's contact is the worst in the majors.

So if we get Cease, which I hope we don't (based on what it will cost, he's a rental, he's a 1 year wonder, he's been terrible this year, etc), do we think this can be Kikuchi 2.0?

Hell I don't want it to be true , but yordans might turn out worse if his hand doesn't get better

Also ohtani is crazy - 70 million for one player is just too risky , especially a pitcher .

Xander Bogaerts and Kris Bryant are considerably worse. Bryant still has 3 years left at $27M annually and doesn’t even play. Bogaerts already sucks and they’re going to be paying him $26M annually during his age 37 through 41 seasons like 5 years from now.

Ohtani’s cap hit is like $45M…he’s worth that even if he’s just hitting.

I doubt Framber would agree to that
