2025 East Semifinals: (1) Cleveland Cavaliers Vs. (4) Indiana Pacers

I have never seen a #1 seed unravel and play such poor basketball in the playoffs. They are making it easy for the Pacers.

 

I kinda feel bad for Cavs fans then I think about all the those consecutive seasons they got gifted the #1 pick and change my mind.

 

Pacers are playing with such a poise. Rick Carlislie is such a good coach

 

Indy is so crazy this year, Eric Gordon never played for his home team.......

 

I can't see how the Cavs run this back, especially that backcourt. I think one of Mitchell or Garland will be shopped.

From what I'm seeing, most Cavs fans are fed up with Garland and want to move forward with Mitchell.

 

Is this end to the game going to be another parade of free throws for Mitchell like it was in the first quarter?

I used to feel bad for Cleveland sports fans because of the two Browns heartbreaks in the 80s (the Drive and the Fumble) and the Indians losing to the Braves in the World Series a few years later. Those great Braves teams just couldn't get it done in the playoffs, except when they played the Indians.

The Fumble remains one of the most heartbreaking plays I've ever seen.

Once LeBron returned and won a championship for them, no more sympathy.

 

Anyone not think the NBA is rigged? Mitchell has more free throws than the entire Pacers team.

Isn't it weird how in some games suddenly a player gets a crazy amount of free throws way above their average? Happened to us when Jimmy got like 16 free throws against us in one of our games. Player is averaging 7-8 free throws but suddenly they get over 15+ in important games. Game 2 Donovan got 21 free throws.

 

Some teams are favored over others.

BTW imagine if Reggie Miller had this type of team, Haliburton and Offense.

 

Funnier that he had I think 8 in the first quarter, some dubious ones.

All of a sudden he's now had another 10 extra free throws in the last few minutes and look at that close game again.

Thats what im saying. Its so blatant the refs are keeping games close by doing this ****. The Pacers are outplaying the Cavs by a mile and Donovan is shooting 4-18 but he gets 20+ free throws to make up for it. I don't remember Harden ever getting 20+ freethrows in a playoff game.

Game was getting out of reach for Cleveland or Golden State and suddenly Kuminga shoots 12 free throws. Any contact at all is a foul but on the other end Draymond can maul a guy and no call. Adam Silver is just a cheating POS.

When this thread was started and game 1 was tipping off, I think my vote for the Pacers to win (in 6) was the only vote at all for the Pacers.
