Fisher has a lot to prove, but the point that was made is accurate. He was the same level of prospect and has a year under his belt. He has a better shot at either winning a RT spot or being a swing tackle this year than Ersery does. Ersery may come in and just blow everyone away, but chances are that he needs developmental time and isn't starting or really playing much at all in year 1.
I agree with you about Ersery needing development. I dont think Fisher and Ersery are the same level of prospect though. Ersery was the Big 10 OL of the year. He's the better prospect and at some point I expect Ersery to be starting somewhere along the OL this year. Ersery won this award over guys like Conerly/Jackson/Simmons etc....
This will go into Nick and Ryans draft day/ FA modus operandi . Were you homeless at one point? Why yes I was coach...Stroud, Aireontae, Azeez, Autry, Fatukasi pretty amazing stories.
I sure hope that Tae is doing everything possible to be in the best shape of his life. We really, really, REALLY need for him to step up and be a good, starting, LT by no later than the 26' season. I'm hoping that Tae proves himself THIS year! I presume he will see quality minutes at RT and possibly LT this season. The good news is that he gets to practice every day against two of the best DE's in the league. He better be in shape!
Texans will miss Tunsil at LT. But Tunsil was paid too much of the salary cap, and the line was too mediocre to matter. The Texans just seem snakebite on the OL since the beginning. We went from the high of getting Boseli in the expansion draft, to never having him play (as far as I can remember). And it’s been mediocre and bad ever since (more bad than mediocre).
