Be interesting to see what happens in Phili in the coming weeks. McCain is back tonight. Let’s see how they balance Maxey, VJ, McCain and Grimes.
They totally smoked the Bulls in the first quarter. Sixers perimeter players are incredibly dynamic on both ends. Everything the Bulls try to do is contested.
I have so much respect for the Bulls. They just would not go away. In the 2nd half they amped up the pressure, Sixers faded, and after numerous blown opportunities in crunch time, they finally hit the kill shot at the end. Josh Giddey was absolutely insane! He'll probably never have a game like that again in his career. After watching Joel Embiid 3-4 times this year, it's very sad what he's become. I'll continue assuming he's not making his condition worse by playing. You can see what he's capable of if his knees were right, but they aren't.
Yep then they went to Embid and they crumbled. That dude is done. Phili can’t play him longer than 15 minutes a game now.
Without Kawhi, Clippers never had a realistic chance to beat OKC tonight and you knew the bottom was probably going to fall out. But their collapse was so sudden.
Portland is basically a much younger version with less flash but enough substance next game. Expect a grind with Dort out or questionable.
Pacers injury list is beyond crazy. Furphy and Jackson were injured last game 7 guards out tonight, an 8th questionable, plus PF Toppin had foot surgery The Pacers were granted a 10 day hardship exception contract to assure enough players can dress PG Tyrese Haliburton - out for season (right Achilles Tendon tear) PG T.J. McConnell – out, week to week (left hamstring strain) PG Quenton Jackson – out, week to week, (right hamstring strain) PG Ray J Dennis - probable (low back sprain) PG/SG Andrew Nembhard – out, week-to-week (left shoulder strain) SG Kam Jones – out, week-to-week (lower back stress reaction) SG/SF Bennedict Mathurin – out, week-to-week - (great right toe sprain) SG/SF Johnny Furphy – out, 2-4 weeks (left ankle sprain) PF Obi Toppin - out for 3 months (right foot surgery) of their top 8 players last year, 2 are dressing (Siakam & Nesmith)
The Pacers were granted a second hardship exception, to sign Cody Martin to a 10 day contract. Show up and play, I guess.
But it was only 4 first round picks plus a swap!! Yikes. This is looking really bad for Orlando. They gave up the PHX pick in '26 as part of that deal... plus years more to come....
The True guys are probably Jaylen Wells and JJJ but Bane is still a more solid option than Ja Morant at this point. If I recall correctly, the Magic were pretty bad last year with Kentavious Pope as well....... They need a coach that gets their Offense going while still maintaining good Defense.
I hate this so much. Kessler looked like he was on his way to a breakout season. He was Jabari's teammate at Auburn.
