As much as I like the guy, James Harden just doesn't have it. I don't care if he drops 50 in a game. You can't rely on him in close, crunch time situations in the playoffs. I kept trying to figure out why that Spurs series he looked so lost. Then why he didn't show up against the Clippers and had to be bailed out by Josh Smith. Over and over, he seems like he's lost out there when teams adjust to his game - pounding the ball and wasting shot clock, messing up the offensive flow, lazy passes, fumbles..

He looks good from time to time but for whatever reason, he doesn't have the thing to take teams to the top. And having watched him for decades now, he might even prevent the Clips from winning game 7. He's undeserving of all the hate for his style of play but man, it's rough rooting for him as a fan.

 

I think he’s played pretty underwhelming, that contract was not worth it as the guy can never be relied upon to do more than hit a few threes. He’s basically Jabari with more dribbling ability.

I want the Nuggets to win but my gut says the Clippers will advance. Kawhi will carry them on his back, he'll get enough support from Harden/Zubac/Powell, etc and I predict one of their non-scorers will break out from long range.

Kawhi is going to need to drop a 40 piece. Clippers role players like Dunn, Batum, Bogdanovich are not stepping up like Nuggets role players are. I just can't see the Nuggets losing game 7 at home in back to back post-seasons.

 

Harden choking up. He has a mental block in these tight situations. He's getting outhustled and outplayed by freaking Westbrook.

Jamal isn't doing much either but I'm more confident in him popping off down the stretch.

Kris Dunn is borderline unplayable when he's not hitting open 3s.

 

Harden reverting back to his awful defensive ways letting Murray just run by him for an easy layup.

 

I hope to god the Rockets get the same home court whistle that the Nuggets are getting.
