Why are you surprised? The Lakers literally just got eliminated and they have an intriguing Luka-LeBron storyline. That's more interesting than a Rockets-Warriors Game 6 breakdown, especially for a mainstream casual fan show like Get Up.

He missed playing some Nipsey "Victory Lap" while doing it but that might have been too disrespectful. funny stuff lol

 

You misunderstand. I'm not saying Lebron is still elite defensively, I'm saying that what he expects from his teammates is that they are defensively sound. If you are not defensively sound, he doesn't think you should play, much like Ime, and that's why I'm betting he isn't happy with the trade. AD is one of the best defensive bigs in the NBA when he decides to be and they traded him for a zero on defense.

Luka is a flat out zero on that side of the ball and it has to be driving Lebron up the wall to see him get blown past time and time again all while basically, as mentioned, its not his team anymore.

With JJ coming out saying they need to be in 'championship' shape I'm already guessing there is a rift between the two.

 

Exactly, the body language between the two is horrible and it's not the same. It's not like Lebron is Kawhi, he usually gets hyped for his teammates when they do stuff, especially his star teammates, but if you watch the games he seems to rarely even interact with Luka at all. It just never felt right between them.

Yeah, Luka is noticeably worse now. We'll see what happens, he's going to have to get into shape, or he's going to turn out becoming one of these what-ifs kind of player. He just looks slow in everything he does and just not as sharp. They weren't going far without a center any ways but still, this was a winnable series for them.
