As Alex goes, so go the Astros.

It is very underrated how important he is to this team. He will be missed more than most people know next year.

Brown was right - Whitcomb is not an infielder

Just throw him out there...screw rehab. Can't be worst than what we have now.

We'll see. But Tucker on one leg is still better than what we're trotting out there now.

Well if that's what he thinks, then how can he be closer than he thinks? Is this like a riddle or something?

Its unlikely we find a better option at 1B than Singleton with the time allotted this year. Lets just accept that for now and hope in the coming off-season a better option becomes available.

I agree when you are talking about RHP, but someone else simply MUST start vs LHSP.

Fortunately, there are very few LHSP on potential playoff teams.

Seth going down with a 2.92 ERA. I understand he'll most likely be back when Rosters expand, but pitching is what will get us through the upcoming storm.

He needed to go down at the time.

The 4th-8th bullpen guys are usually inconsistent and get abused. They should always be shuttled up and down to maximize hotcstreaks and freshness.

He should be back soon if Dubin or someone else has a heavy workload or gets pummeled.

He has really good stuff and can strike guys out without giving up HR. His k rate this season is in the same range as Framber, Pressly, and JV. His walk rate is about what Scott and King have allowed. He has the lowest HR/9 of any pitcher on the staff. He has had bad luck with babip and LOB %.
I am actually bummed Dubin hasn’t been used more in whatever low leverage opportunities there have been because I think he could be really really good, and I am worried his bad luck will push him off the roster soon and he’ll bloom with another team.

There's a difference between "luck" and being mentally capable to close the door.

Don't have to worry about that. Dubin sucks. Solved the mystery for you.

All I see is a glorified Dan Straily.
