This is why I'm thinking Dana shouldn't be scared to trade prospects for guys that can help now. The only guys you keep are the true gold star players in your system. The only guys I wouldn't trade are Matthews, Blubaugh, I would only trade Baez and Brito if it got me a Rooker, Parades, Kjerstad type players. Good young guys with many years of control.
You should never be scared to trade older prospects. The Minor Leagues exist to make the MLB club better.
Did yall see this? Would be hilarious if it happens, but they do have some people on this speculative list that could really help the Stros right now. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/56...es-rangers-waivers-matt-chapman-alex-bregman/
He probably left in the first place because it was a promotion the Astros wouldn't give him. It seemed like Dana Browns choice to let him go, not sure why he would bring him back now. Maybe Browns opinion has changed and he's willing to give him an assistant GM spot. Maybe he's willing to come back in his old position, I'd sure like him back
I’ll probably get beat up after school for saying this, but I’m glad the Mariners are going to push us. We can’t get lazy like we did before and after the ASB.
I was wondering how a middle infielder with a 110 OPS+ could only produce .6 bWAR in nearly 300 PA, he's a butcher in the field, -7 OAA with with only 300 PAs.
Had high hopes for him as a reclamation project when we signed him. Unfortunately his command seems broken beyond repair.
