He is averaging 16.9 per inning so far (16.1 before his last 2 outings where he said he was having neck issues)

6 ip @16 = 96
6 ip @17 = 102

He would need to average 14 to get 7 innings in under 100 pitches. But he has done that in 3 of his 10 starts so it can he done just not counted on.

 

Yall are overthinking this.

This sure sounds like a setback

 

The Garcia setback is potentially very disappointing. We really need him to stabilize our rotation. Pretty much have to add a SP if he's not ready to go post all star break.

BUT… Ronel Blanco. Hunter Brown becoming an absolute DAWG. Bregman returning back to form. Altuve continuing his HOF pace. Yanier. Jon freakin Singleton. Several young guys stepping up. WINNING AT MMP.
