how raygun qualified for the olympics: another australian olympian was arrested for buying coke in paris. maybe that helps to explain the paris routine?
@Dr of Dunk good Lord - maybe Sydney can do the 400 double: McLaughlin-Levrone, the best in the world, turned a close race into a blistering lap in 47.70 seconds. Let’s put that in perspective. Marileidy Paulino of the Dominican Republic won gold in the women’s 400-meter final with an Olympic record time of 48.17 seconds. And with the duty of waiting for and carrying a baton, McLaughlin-Levrone ran faster. Her leg of the relay was a tenth of a second off the world record.
Looks like a tie for Gold if the women win in B-Ball. Volleyball lost, but a cyclist won on the track.
I mostly watched the women, they seemed okay. Then, I saw two of the men.... yeah, there's a big difference. Upper body strength is the most noticeable contrast. Was reading an article about why women's gymnastics doesn't have rings as an event. Article said it's because women focus on lower body events. Yeah, that's putting it lightly. I guess stating the real reason would sound too "insensitive".
Instead of letting Caitlyn Clark put women's basketball on the map, we got today, and this is literally setting the game of basketball back to the 70's.
Every time I try to give women's basketball a chance, I end up seeing a game like this. The best in the world playing like this is embarassing.

Did you adjust this point system to deduce for points added for events solely to boost the Chinese - team table tennis - chortle
China won 5 golds and a silver in the 6 ping pong events. I caught some of the mixed doubles final, it was actually pretty fun to watch. Unrelated...either the Croatian or Serbian men's water polo team has a player whose name is pronounced "beeyotch". I hope Snoop knows this. It makes me chuckle every time...I believe the last usage was "you can't do that, beeyotch"
Sifan Hassan was unbelievable this Olympics. I was rooting for her all the way in that last stretch of the marathon. What a race! Imagine winning gold in the marathon after already medaling in the 5,000 and 10,000 races. Hasn't happened in over 70 years.
