the most impressive part was the aus player in the top corner of the field. she nearly chased down the ball carrier despite being so far away.

 

I think this is just Australia's Olympics to lose at damn-near everything they should win.

 

we're better at M1 Abrams and F35s.

 

If there was a "spray and pray" event and we let our cops, gangsters and gravy seals compete we'd be damn near unbeatable.

It's insane that she gets almost 12 feet off the floor on those gymnastics. She is unbelievable.

 

I don't know a thing about rugby either, but I found it much more entertaining than I ever did watching soccer.

 

The USA women's gymnastics team dominated the world today. Man I love this team. They are so damn good.

 

To be fair to her - she doesn't want to get caught up in the tackle, because if she enters the ruck then there are 2 aussies in the ruck and 1 US player - gives a chance for the US to get a break.
Ironically by not getting involved the tackle isn't completed and the US win bronze!

 

Many people are saying she can dunk basketballs

 

With a little training on the alley-oop (hard to do runup backflips and s!!t with a ball in your hands)...I believe it

I wish they got more publicity. I know Suni and Byles. i don't know these other girls. I remember watching last olympics, I didnt even remember this Jordan girl is a 2 time Olympian. The celebrity olympian is dead in the tv streaming era

This is me (acting old) but I remember when the USA gymnastics team (and so many other sports) was a ****ing HUGE DEAL. Covers of magazines, CEREAL BOXES, t-shirts, etc...

I guess us no longer fighting the Communist Block has a downside? Whuda thunk it?

Carl Lewis was an American God at that point. So was Mary Lou Retton and a few others in many sports.
