Nah, I just don't play the games of the actual trolls here. If you fools are going to constantly try to frame me as a troll, then whine like a victims when I clap back, then that is on you. Read my comments...You don't get respect until you earn it. I was born in 1970. You are a child to me. lol. Yeah, we can talk football like adults, but never try me again. The end. Broncos fan hey? Yeah the 1998 Super Bowl. The Broncos first win, the Packs only loss in 5 trips to the Super Bowl. Congrats on that one. Elway was a beast in that game. He deserved the title. Seems everyone here likes Detroit to get to New Orleans. Obviously I don't share that view. One game at a time. Philadelphia the current focus. Playoff season should be fun, looking forward to it.
Actually I have read your posts in this thread and you were the one that started flapping your gums about how great the Packers are. I thought it was funny…karma, you might say that the Packers lost. “Never try me again?” What the hell does that mean, Hulk? I’m a Rockets fan, first and foremost, but I have found that whenever I have talked about my other favorite teams here (Broncos and Red Sox as well as Georgia) and have done it in a manner that even remotely borders on obnoxious, I have gotten struck down by the Texans/Astros/Longhorn fans so fast, it would make your head spin. So I have learned to tone it down when I talk about my favorite non-Houston teams. I think you can obviously bring good discussion here as a non-Texans fan but you have to understand to not come across as obnoxious. I like the Lions to play the Bills in the Super Bowl, but for the record, I would like to see your Packers beat the Eagles as I have never been a fan despite the fact that they have several former UGA Bulldogs on their team.
Packers have 5 Bulldogs on the roster. Javon Bullard Quay Walker Eric Stokes Devonte Wyatt John FitzPatrick
I was born in middle TN in ‘73 and became fans of the teams due to certain players - UGA (Herschel Walker), Red Sox (Boggs and Clemens, who ironically I despise due to them leaving to go to the Yankees), Rockets (Olajuwon), and Broncos (Elway). There is nothing I hate more than for someone locally tell me that I “should” be a Titans fan because they are a TN team and the same with the Grizzlies. If these franchises had been in TN when I was in grade school, then I can see it, but not after I had already started following the teams that I follow. I wish no ill will on the Titans (I understand why Texans fans despise them) or the Grizzlies and would probably root for them most of the time but not when they play my teams or the Texans (since I have a lot of friends here who are Texans fans). When I joined the site in 2001, I chose “Manny Ramirez” as my handle as he had just joined the Red Sox. Then of course he had a pretty ignominious end in Boston that I wished I had changed my name to something else, but too many people on the site knew me as “Manny” so I just decided to keep it as is.
I was just over in the Texans section of the forum, and no one has even broached the topic of the Chargers @ Texans Wild-Card game. Interesting, because I also stopped for a sec on a Chargers forum, & they feel playing the Texans is better than getting the bye week. My money is on the Chargers, but I certainly wouldn't say it's better than getting the bye for the Chargers. The Texans are more than a tune-up game. How disrespectful.
I'm way dumb when it comes to the NFL salary cap...if you're on IR all year your salary doesn't count?
The ultimate token interview by the Pats. The ink is already dry on Vrabel's contract. He just can't sign it yet.
The salary counts, but insurance reimbursements are subtracted from your cap. Just another thing that makes NFL cap so confusing as you often don't know how long a player will be out and what the eventual insurance recovery is, so they may not get fully credited until the following cap year.
Huh, I had no idea. The NFL is amazing at business, any way they can rub 2 pennies together and make a dime, they will find a way. At least this way doesn't **** the players over.
For those still wondering, Jalen Hurts is playing. The whole still in concussion protocol is gamesmanship, so the Packers have to prepare for 2 QBs. The Packers are preparing for only Jalen. With Jaire on IR and Christian officially going on IR shortly, the Packers have 2 open roster spots. Look for the Packers to bring in 2 players in the next couple days. No, it won't be OBJ, though he is available. Chase Claypool has experience in the offense. And for those that are thinking about saying "no one cares." Keep in mind I can make you cry openly, and don't give a flying fk what you care about.
I LOL'd yesterday when Antonio Pierce said it was "business as usual". Maybe he was the only person who didn't see the obvious coming.
