Maybe it's just MHJ fatigue talking but I have a feeling that odunze and nabers are the top two receivers in this draft..The hype around Harrison reminds me of Keyshawn Johnson who turned out ok but not the generational talent people thought.
His broad jump was in the 89%. Isn’t that a good indicator for Edge rushers? Like explosion off the line?
After spending a little more time looking at the overall draft, I'm most excited by this WR class. I know Demeco likely wants a defender, but it seems to be setting up for the value at #23 likely being a WR. The 4 guys I really like on D that could be available at #23 are...Byron Murphy, Cooper DeJean, Jared Verse or Quinyon Mitchell. However, I'm afraid all 4 of those guys could be gone before we pick. Would I trade down a few? Yeah, if there is a deal that keeps us in the 1st and brings at least another 3rd I think we have to look at that. Moving back to later in the 1st, I think the LBs come into play--Payton Wilson and Edgerin Cooper or the best WR left. As for WRs, the chance to get Brian Thomas evaporated when he burned the track at 4.33 in Indy. I think he'll go Top 20 or maybe even Top 15. I'm starting to really want Adonai Mitchell. His size 6'4", speed 4.35 and playmaking ability are really attractive. I also like McConkey, Pearsall or Roman Wilson if we're able to move our 2nd into the Top 50 picks. Gonna be an interesting draft, lot's of potential trades with QB class and some of the playmakers available.
This is the best wide receiver class in the history of the draft in my opinion. Maybe it's just the way things are going with 7 on 7 in high school and the passing game being such a focus. I see about 25 guys in this draft that are likely future NFL starters.
I'm mixed on Chop. He's explosive, but he's raw technically and arm length has seemed to cause him some problems. Here's a eval that mentions some of these issues... https://vikingswire.usatoday.com/li...penn-state-chop-robinson-vikings-skol-search/ I respect your opinion, and he can likely overcome the technical issues with coaching and a scheme that focuses on what he does well. Thoughts?
I don't see it with Chop. He has the athleticism but I don't see the production. He's being compared to Parsons which is wild.
Yes, I agree. But he also made a big difference and his presence was known. He took over games. It seemed like he was in on every tackle. I didn't see any games where Chop took over.
Are we keeping tabs on our 30 official visits? Stoots was being coy last night about someone visiting and Landry asked if it was Byron Murphy II and Stoots was even more coy.
Puca ran a 4.57 in the 40 yard last year and then maybe the only ones to break 20mph in the gauntlet. Pretty similar to Keon Coleman, slow 4.64 on the 40 but then the only to break 20mph in the gauntlet. This demonstrates strong hands, excellent body control, the ability to catch the ball at top speed, and fluid strides without breaking form. game speed is so much different to track speed. I think from the WR skills the others that stood out at the combined Ricky Pearsall and Jaquon Jackson.
