If it was our 3rd + Mills to move up for Denver's 3rd, I could potentially see that.

That values Mills as a 4th / 5th round.

 

Here's a mock I did balancing needs with BPA.

 

Do any of you believe that we will NOT draft a CB in the first 4 rounds?

 

On another note, I suspect that fans are more enamored with Tvondre Sweat than is Demeco. We'll see!

 

Who TF is Jordan Pun and why do we keep quoting him? His takes are so wide across the spectrum and some things he has no clue what he’s talking about.

Fields was the exception not the rule. There was an interview with Poles where they put Fields in a position where he may be able to start as a favor to him, there were other teams that offered better picked

but yes, zero chance Mills goes for a third.

 

Maybe Mills and 4-123 to move up to Denver's spot in the 4th.

 

I love Case, but not sure I want to ride with him as sole backup next year. Would prefer to keep Mills as insurance vs a 5th or 6th pick (doubt we could get much more than that, unless QBs go down in PS and someone panics for a 2025 pick).

 

Sweat is more of a NT in a 3-4 Defense. At 360 pounds he will be on the field for less than 50% of the snaps. Not a good fit for the current defense and not a impact player you want to select with your first pick.

Ive actually seen him listed in a ton of places as a 3 technique, or undertackle in a 4-3, which is not the NT.

 

We damn well better draft one. That's my take.

 

I think it's possible that we don't and that we'll ride with the free agents we signed. Would you be happy with this?

 

I don't know enough about college players, but I like having more depth at those positions, and do want a WR and CB in our first 3 picks for sure.
