gotta admit tho, a team bringing on KPJ and Bridges in one offseason requires some massive balls…especially in the same offseason they lost Paul George for nothing

all this after Josh Primo…they truly dgaf

basketball-wise, he’d be pretty good there…I actually think they’d be a better team than last year

Low key.... solid rebuild / pivot (maybe enough to avoid giving Thunder a top 10 pick).

First, Westbrook to DEN for Reggie J & a SRP

Then Bridges for Powell & Tucker + DEN SRP in S&T... like 3 years, $35M AAV w/ TO on year 3

    Beard // Bones // Dunn
    Mann // KPJ // Jackson
    Kawhi // DJJ // Coffey
    Bridges // Brown // Batum
Zubac // Bamba // Kai Jones

Beard would hate it, but they would have to push the pace because they will be athletic but short (besides C position)

Imagine if they could pry Cam Johnson from Nets (Mann + Bones + Jackson).... they just don't have any FRPs (I think).

    Beard // Dunn
    Kawhi // KPJ // Coffey
    Bridges // DJJ // Batum
    Johnson // Brown
Zubac // Bamba // Kai Jones

Jerry West (RIP) would be proud

    Following the Brooklyn Nets model.

I actually think the primary reason is because the new arena is opening up this year and tanking right now would not be well timed. Second reason is they don't outright possess their own 1st round draft pick until 2030.

Clippers obviously won't be competing for a championship any time soon but it does them no good to tank. They went "all-in" for the Kawhi/PG era that just ended in complete failure and will pay for it for 6 more years.

In contrast to the Nets, they don't have tradeable assets to start a rebuild.

I was curious as to which teams still had some $$$ in MLE (max ~ $13M) since most teams with cap space (DET, PHI, OKC) are dried up

Bold = could use their space (but might not)

Italics = probably won't use any of of their options

    ATL: Full + BAE + $23M TPE (expires 7/8)
huge waste of a nice TPE + need sign #1 pick + Bey + will they trade Hunter or Capela?

    BKN: Full + BAE + ~$12M TPE (expires 7/6) + ~$8M TPE (expires 7/9)
will take on 1 year deals if you take DFW b/c clearing space for 2025

BOS: ~$4M in TPE (expires 7/8)
call them Grillmasters cuz they got 2 aprons + 18 rings

    CHA: ~$15M + Full + BAE
depends on Bridges + gotta sign FRP

CHI: ~$4M in MLE + BAE
depends of Demar + gotta sign FRP

    CLE: Full
    probably use it on Okoro

    DAL: ~$4M in MLE + $5M TPE (expires 7/8)
    Already in 2nd Apron

    DEN: TP-MLE ($5M)

DET: ~$10M (after signings) + Full + BAE
will sign Holland & Flynn & Fontecchio & eat up their cap space

    GSW: BAE
    But who?

    HOU: Full
Gonna save it for trade deadline

    IND: Full + BAE

    LAC: ~$3M in MLE
trying to make that OKC pick worthless

    LAL: Full
will be upon against it when re-sign Bronny's teammate, but gotta chase Boston

    MEM: Full + BAE + TPE ($7.5M - expires 7/8)
    gotta sign Edey + Kennard?

    MIA: TP-MLE ($5M) + TPE ($9.5M - expires 7/6) + TPE ($7M expires 7/8)
probably trying to get below apron; trade Rozier?

    MIL: TP-MLE ($5M)
    gotta sign AJJ

    MN: TP-MLE ($5M)
Gotta sign Dillingham & Shannon; who is gone or apron be darned?

    NOP: Full + BAE
going to need another center form somewhere when they send BI to Sac for Barnes & Heurter (I don't know her... rim shot)

    NYK: Full + BAE + ~$7M TPE (expires 7-8)
    All in.

    OKC: Full + BAE
    Why the heck not?

ORL: ~$26M (if rescind all cap holds) in cap space + Full + BAE
    Let's gggggoooooo

PHI: Room (~$8M) + several TPEs
Ship or bust! Bust it is!

PHX: Nada (that apron is nothing to play with)
Looking at dem pix and licking da lips

    POR: Full + BAE

    SAC: Full + BAE
    Still need another center

SAS: ~$16M in cap space (if rescind all cap holds) + Full + BAE
Everybody going to be shocked when Spurs pick up Lavine + FRPs from CHI & then use some of that draft capital they have accumulated to send some of it + Graham + Jones to BRK for Cam Johnson. Wemby wants to win! Merde!
    CP3 - Castle
    Lavine - Branham / Wesley
    Vassell - Johnson (getting madder)
Cam Johnson - Sochan (flip it if you want)

    Wemby - Collins - Bassey

    TOR: Full
    GTJ? gotta sign FRP

    UTH: Full + BAE
Nobody is going to trade with you anymore, Ainge! Maybe...

    WSH $3M MLE + BAE + several TPEs - including $9.8M (expires 7/8)
Gotta sign Sarr; no idea what mgmt is doing in DC

The Sacramento Kings were reportedly close to pulling off a trade for Utah Jazz star big man Lauri Markkanen, according to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports. “The Kings, to my knowledge, earlier this week were close to a deal,” he said during Wednesday’s No Cap Room podcast (40:30 mark). “I do think that, based off of conversations I’ve had. I can’t say more than that, but there were calls made to people around the NBA that would have indicated that talks have been legitimate there.”

It isn't over yet. Their focus right now is Lauri Markkanen. They are still determined to keep Curry and avoid complete mediocrity.

Given that Curry doesn't play 25-30 games, the record is not going to look that good even with old Klay who departed.

For them to even get a 7 or 8 seed, it will take a huge leap for Kuminga. And maybe he could do that with pouting, complicated Thompson gone? I doubt it though. Kerr does not seem very good at developing the confidence of young talent in general.

I actually like the small pieces they've added but I agree they haven't moved the needle and their main workhorses are going to be a year older.

Bay Area radio is a all buzzing about them acquiring Markannen, but what do they have to give up to Ainge for such a trade?

    Payton II
    Looney
    Kuminga
    Moody
    plus picks

    They could make it happen.

Pretty sure Danny wants Kuminga + Looney + Gui Santos + 3 FRPs + 2 swaps... kuz... ya know,... Ainge gonna Ainge
