i've never seen him, Bob Eucker or George Sports Machine Michael in the same place. like Joe Theismann and Joe Manchin.
I love the fact that the 4 major conferences might have champions who weren't in those conferences the year before. Does Oregon St. get to claim the PAC 12 title because they went 1-0 over Washington St?
Alabama getting ranked ahead of Miami is a travesty of justice. I thought I would never say this but I am hoping for a Clemson win on Saturday and for the committee to do the right thing which is to still keep SMU in the 12 team playoff and tell Alabama to hit the road.
Uhhhhh...Miami being ranked behind several teams is is pretty OK as things should live maybe... What is up with Alabama? Tennessee? Ol' Miss? Aggie? All them other people?
I also want Alabama out, but Miami is a mirage. As biased as I am, there is no way to rationalize ranking them ahead of Alabama.
Miami has been a mirage the whole season...who are we talking about now? Alabama may be a baby bit better
Well according to the dude that is in charge of it, Warde Manuel (?), if you get to a conference championship game and lose and you were already in the playoff then you are not going to get punished for losing. Now, it would be interesting to see if Clemson beats SMU like 59-0 if the committee will still let SMU be in the 12 team field. I am not doubting that Alabama is probably better than Miami even though they have lost 3 games compared to 2 games for Miami but if we are going by who we "think" are better than how can anyone justify leaving Indiana in it? Why not have all the 3 loss SEC teams in it? Does anyone honestly think that Indiana is going to beat Alabama, Ole Miss, and South Carolina? They wouldn't even be able to beat another 3 loss SEC team in Missouri. The whole thing is a farce and there will always be a controversy, I guess, on the last team getting in. But I would make a stronger argument that Ole Miss should be in over Alabama: They both beat Georgia and South Carolina but Ole Miss's wins were more decisive and Ole Miss ranks in the top in both offense and defense. If you are not going to have Miami in it then why does Alabama get the benefit of the doubt over Ole Miss? It is the Alabama bias that has always been there - that's why.
South Carolina is better than Alabama. Ole Miss is more dangerous than Alabama. Boise State shouldn't be eligible. SMU - they control their destiny. Only 1 ACC should get in IMO.
Both beat GA, both beat SC, Bama destroyed LSU in Baton Rouge, Ol Miss lost there in OT, Bama has the worst loss (OU, fu lol...ok, losing to Kentucky at home isn't much better) To me it's a toss up.
I agree with all that, but their goal is to create ratings. It's not solely about the best football teams.
Boise should be eligible but they definitely aren’t one of the 12 best teams. They’ll make it interesting against some good teams with Jeanty though. They did take Oregon to the brink.
If you’re gonna say that about Indiana then you should be saying it about Penn State. An objectively overrated and fraudulent program.
