Dallas Keuchel will pitch again for the Stros before Whitley does

11th round draft picks are always super interesting for obvious reasons- as that’s your stretch- hard sign high ceiling guy. Thats a lot of tools for an 18 year old.

So what’s the plan with Leon? Seems he may be ready, but doesn’t seem like they’re going to call him up. Isn’t he 25? Are they keeping him down to have more opportunities for him to be seen and raise his trade stock value? I know there’s a log jam in the outfield, but why keep going to cabbage, instead of giving the higher ceiling guy a chance.

@DaDakota will teach Bagwell to throw left handed before Whitley pitches for the Stros

Not like I've watched him much (nobody has), but he's got a quick compact swing. I want to see "highlights" of him dealing with outside breaking balls.

Aren’t the highlights of pretty much all 18 year olds swinging cluelessly and missing at those?

It’s surprising to me that Whitcomb is not getting more attention at this point. A SS on pace for a 2nd consecutive 30 HR / 25 SB season in AAA seems like he’d project to be at least an everyday caliber player.

    Yeah I get it.
That was also a bit related to Covid, but you are right.
Just want some people with overpowering stuff. Maybe the two guys today can get some traction.

His MLB.com write-up calls him erratic at 3B. His best outcome is probably Dan Uggla, but that was a really good player.

    ..."really good hitter"

He was possibly the worst 2B I've ever seen

Probably because he still strikes out a quarter of the time despite being a 26 year old in AAA, without insane offensive numbers to show for it. Then again, Loperfido put up similar numbers at just a year younger and made the show, so IDK.

He had the defensive range of a medium-sized mollusk and the arm strength of an emu
