Who are the "true" point guards nowadays? Back in the day you would notice how important they are in All-Star games. Now, even Halliburton is out there worried more about getting his own. The closest to point guard play I saw was LeBron. Sad.
I’ve not watched any of the AS wkend BS. Have I missed anything? I used to get excited for this in 90’s or up until say 2015 or 18ish…can’t remember exactly. But last few years has been meh and this year I watched ZERO partsof As wKend.
It's like the Pro Bowl. The league has outgrown it's all star game. Like pretty much every other sport It just ... is. Times change, there's no fixing this because there's nothing to be fixed. There's no need for that kind of showcase anymore, because we have bread and circuses on demand.
I know defense isn't played during these but why does the league think this is fun? Yes, we know the best players in the world can hit open shots all day....
The All Star game is never good but this was really bad lol They gotta change it up with that LED court and have random 10 point shots pop up or something
Just get rid of the all-star game and do a one-on-one tournament with the top 16 players. Maybe they can also finally let Shaq vs. Dream happen. Olajuwon would win. Better shape.
Yeah, before the NBA starts favoring offense and bending the rules to favor offense I hope they see what this game looks like with little defense. A snoozefest.
