I don’t understand the Spurs. They don’t involve Wemby as much as I thought they would. He’s literally taller than every player, get him to post in the paint and it’s an easy layup or just shot near the rim. What’s going on?
He can already do the stuff inside, they're trying to develop his other skills. There's no need to maximize every possession/win for them at this point in time, what they're doing is extremely smart (sucks to say).
It’s similar to teams who draft a SG and let them play point even though they suck at it while the team is bad. Helps develop passing and other skills so when they go their natural position they’re more skilled.
