You're right, the argument was totally different with LeBron. He was even more clearly the best player in the seasons when he didn't win MVP than Jokic. He was both an elite offensive player AND an elite defensive player.

What's your excuse for all the years he was the best player before his 2nd stint in Cleveland?

You know the Jokic superfans have gone off the deepend when they think he deserves more MVPs than LeBron.

He was, but he wasn't ACTUALLY doing it in the regular season consistently by his early 30s, nobody does. There were certainly years lebron got robbed though, the rose joke mvp as an example. He should probably have 6, maybe 7. Lebron stopped going all out by 30 though, otherwise he would have deserved more. Idk why him being robbed means jokic should get robbed though, that's weird logic.

Russell Westbrook and Shai Gilgeous Alexander robbing MVPs.

James Harden (4 MVPs) and Nikola Jokic (2 MVPs) they lost.

Congrats Canada after Nash and Raptors.

OKC is not winning 68 games without SGA, like not even close. Jokic is definitely the best player in the league and he had an insanely amazing season but SGA was no slouch. Dude put up 32 on top notch efficiency, and played both sides of the ball. I think it is more than well deserved.

Well deserved and this shows Westbrook should not have won it over Harden. Vindication!

But then LeBron had all nba players and hofers sharing the court with him which is probably why he didn’t win MVPs after he took the easy way out and created a super team.

Meh, that’s been waaaaay over exaggerated. How many of his teams in his career would have made the playoffs without him? Certainly none of his 11 cavs teams, maybe 2 heat teams? Wade was done as an all nba level player after the 1st season LeBron was there. How many lakers teams? 1? 2? He certainly has never played on a team that would have ever won a playoff series without him or even come close to it.

checked the miami teams, the “superteams”, and with him off the court they had a negative net rating 3/4 years and the positive one was only 0.2

Jokic’s teammates pale in comparison to what Lebron had.

When the exact same thing was happening with the Lakers guys like Wright were silent and were defending the referees. The Thunder is packed with good to great defenders who go all out on defense. Guys like Hachimura, Reaves, and LeBron getting away with hacking is not at all the same.

Jokic’s teammates pale in comparison to what every superstar in history has had, which is why him being robbed of the mvp twice in the last 3 years is so lame.

I don't think Jokic's supporting cast two years ago paled in comparison to Hakeem's in '94 and '95 (particularly '94).

Shouldn't Canada pay tariff for importing SGA?
