Another way to put it - the Rockets have been as bad as humanly possible to be WITHOUT maximizing Wemby hopes and dreams. WORST. SEASON. EVER.
@Clutch appears to be leaning that way and if he is, I can hardly blame him. Victor Wembanyama looks like the real deal, a true unicorn, at least to me. I'm salivating at the idea of getting the Frenchman in the next draft. Perhaps we'll be lucky again next summer. We were lucky to get Jabari. Have to say that our luck would improve if we weren't winning as often as we've been doing lately. The problem I have with "tanking" is that watching our guys win like we have the last couple of games is just so much fun!
It's over dog. Enjoy watching them in San Antoniorlandetroit. Rockets chance at top 4 is only 42% and is probably going to only decrease, if only by virtue of everyone else tanking. Start looking at 6-10 range.
Do you think the Rockets would blow their Nets load to move up from that range into the 3-5th? I think they would if they thought it was a great fit etc with Jabari/Green. If they did though not much youth down the line otherwise.
I would trade for a young star though i doubt one is available. I don't think the chance they have a future all NBA level player currently on the roster is very high.
Losses 14 Miami Heat 14 Washington Wizards 14Oklahoma City Thunder 14Chicago Bulls 14 Los Angeles Lakers 18 Charlotte Hornets 18 San Antonio Spurs 18Houston Rockets 20 Detroit Pistons 20 Orlando Magic A lot of teams are bunched together. Of those teams ahead of the Rockets, they could pass Charlotte , San Antonio and/or OKC Of those team behind the Rockets, I think they stay where they are (Detroit and Orlando). So in my way of thinking, the Rockets will be bottom 3-6 at the end of the season.
Wembytank brigade previous members Orlando Detroit Houston Charlotte San Antonio Warmly welcome: Washington Wizards! Waiting List OKC Utah Chicago LeBron gave me a ticket: New Orleans
Unless Green goes out like Cade I don’t think we get a top 4 pick. The Spurs roster is garbage and Cha, OKC, Det have injuries as excuses to tank. Orl should be a lot better than they are.
isn't it actually ideal to get the 2nd or 3rd worst record? has the worst record ever gotten the #1 pick since the rule change?
The worst three teams get the same odds for the #1 pick. It doesn't matter what happened in the past.
