Very good write up and really shows the difference between Stroud and Williams or Young. He rarely faces pressure and when he does, he struggles big time. The nfl is a pressure league. The pressure rate that Young and Williams face in college is much closer to the nfl than Stroud has faced over his 2 years in college. He’s a much more mentally and fundamentally talented qb than Zach Wilson, but Wilson also had a situation at BYU where he wasn’t facing any real pressure and people ignored the red flags in his tape as well. This Georgia game is huge for Stroud and his evaluation.
After watching quite a bit of film, I am convinced that Anthony Richardson will be the #1 QB in this draft three years from now. I am afraid the consensus is starting to build that he is a top 10 or even 5 pick now, so there will be no trading down to get him. His college offense is the opposite of what would make a QB look good. I took a look at all of their offensive plays against Tennessee. He threw for nearly 500 yards, was 24-44 but 10 of those were balls he threw away due to the sack he was about to take. Dame in the Georgia game. I thought I was going to see a really raw QB with poor judgment, but I think those scouting reports that day that will change as we get closer to the draft. If anyone has been a Josh Allen clone 8ts this guy. Same size. a bit quicker. punishing runner. howitzer for an arm. Will be top 3 arm the day he steps in the league. I would be most excited about getting Richardson.
Can you send some good film? I’d like to watch what you were watching. Seen a few scouts say the same.
I wish we would go LB then DL with our first two pick and maybe trade back up for richardson if he is still there at the end of the first round. He could run the offense we are running now with mills and driskel without us having to change QB's out.
i know clint on sport radion 610 likes him as a qb in the later rounds if he was coming out but he is staying in college another year.
I made a post in the early weeks of the season saying to watch for him as having a Burrow or Pickett type rise.
Everyone was amazed when Malik Willis, threw a 65-yard bomb in his pro day, already claiming him the best QB in the 2022 NFL Draft, and making him a steal going in the 3rd round, but he started playing in a regular season game, and havent pass more than 100 yards in 3 games, (got benched in game 4) so I dont believe the hype around Levis being the best QB in this class.
I don’t think he’s comparable to Malik Willis. He’s much closer to Daniel Jones or Blake Bortles. He can certainly play, but he didn’t play well in college and his decision making and lack of pocket presence are major concerns.
Physically he’s a prototype. There’s no debating that, arm, can run, strong and good size. Great size if he measure 6’4. His arm is way better than Jones or Bortles. Probably better than Willis. He’s also had some elite games against elite teams, so I can understand the hype. He’s also had some clunkers against meh teams Willis is a back up or position change QB.
Yeah I’ll pay, still shouldn’t have won that many. Bucs shouldn’t have lost to that team. Browns suck
