The bust rate is high no matter how tall they are. Just more likely you’ll make it to the nfl in the first place if you aren’t short. I’ll bet on talent over raw physical traits any day.

Alot of GM's have made that bet in NFL history.

The only ones that won that bet (Championships) are Loomis/Schneider good luck with that.

One key point is the intangibles/desire Anderson has that “IT” about him a true alpha who can change the culture of a team defensively…don’t think Carter brings any of that and there are questions about his motor and desire to be great.

Anderson over Carter and it’s not even close

Yes, I saw Flutie. Manziel was more luke Flutie.

    Bryce Young is not.

A draft that screams "goodbye chance at Williams or Maye or whoever next years cant miss prospect is" hello QB limbo for the unforeseeable future.

This is how the game is played. Anybody who wants the top rated QB in the draft is going to have go thought Houston to get it ... and pay a serious price.

A denier of history wouldn't have drafted Mahomes or Russell Wilson because an air raid or sub-6 foot QB had never won a SB. They wouldn't have drafted Hakeem or Dirk that high because a foreign born player or drafted directly from overseas never won MVP. Crane wouldn't have hired Dusty, Warriors wouldn't have hired Kerr, etc...Hell we should take Maye and Ewers off the board since UNC and UT have never produced a successful NFL QB right?

Obviously some of that is in jest but history is but a single data point and one that has proven to be rather unreliable if not completely useless. Evaluate each player individually and make the call whether or not they’re the best option for your franchise. It is completely understandable to be concerned about Bryce's size and that may ultimately be the deciding factor on whether they take him or not, but if history is the driving force, you might as well use algorithms to scout players.

I have 0 faith in the Texans today, yesterday, and tomo... But if they draft Bryce, I'd be excited .. That's the only way I'll pay attention and possibly buy a hat or 2 in the foreseeable future..

Rookies usually aren't on winning teams.

I still think that they finish in the bottom 5 of the NFL and they still have extra 1sts if they needto trade up and there are many

    Mahomes is over 6'0 tall.

I do judge the players and not just by schools.

NFL GM's will tell you how much height matters and why short QB's have mostly besides a couple of guys haven't been able to win championships.

This is what I expected all along. Cal doing what his daddy did.

I will root for Young, but this is a mistake that the Texans org is going to have to live with for another5-10 yrs. This is no different than picking Carr over Peppers.
