Have asked this each time this gets posted it haven’t gotten an answer: Assuming the teams have the actual scores, what good does this do for him?
Might be a possibility if Reich said it was his pick. It is interesting that he is basically saying it’s not.
Imagine they take him and he turns out to be great and Bryce Young always gets hurt and is irrelevant by year 5. Not a sports universe I want to be a part of.
Was listening to a podcast done by Joe Marino and Kyle Crabbs from The Draft Network. They brought up the Wilson vs. Anderson debate. They said they watched both of their tapes back to back and came out surprised at how incredibly closely they graded each player. They both agreed that think Wilson has higher upside to dominate as a pass rusher. They said it would be a rock solid pick at number 2. I think we’ve all become accustomed to believing it would be Anderson if it wasn’t a QB, but if they decide to go Wilson I think it’s still a really good pick.
My big concern with Wilson (aside from playing in the Big XII) is the fact that he just came off of major foot surgery. Let's try to draft a healthy player in the 1st round for once....
I'm starting to miss the days when you would know who was being picked first because the teams would negotiate the contracts before the picks would happen....Sam Bradford being the last one...
I'm ok with them not picking a qb. It's not like taking one is putting us in the Super Bowl next season. We've sucked this long what's another year? Take Anderson this year and go and get your franchise qb next year in a much better qb class. We will have the draft capital to move up.
It was the Wonderlic and I’m sure too much stock was put into that as well. I’m curious to see who performed terribly on this S2 quiz that more than half the league doesn’t subscribe to. Just so we can see how badly their careers have gone since taking it… or maybe even well… who knows. It may be too young for us to be able to track back that far if Brees took it while he was already in the league as a damn near retired product. Funny how this is the first draft we hear anything about this fascinating new quiz that tells all! Weird draft is getting even weirder.
The talk of the Texans taking Tyree Wilson over both a QB and Will Anderson is so Texans. I want to trust DeMeco on his defensive evaluations. But that would be the 2nd year in a row the Texans would be randomly deciding to buck consensus and select someone with an injury history
Who are you moving up for? Caleb Williams and Drake Maye are likely going 1 and 2. If they indeed are that good, those picks are not getting traded barring some contender just getting hit with a motherload of injuries.
I don’t remember this board taking the results this serious before. You think anyone is worried what S2 score either Caleb Williams or Drake Maye will have next year? Me neither. No separation between the draftees will get you this type of atom splitting IMO.
Nope, Ownership has sucked since the end inception of the franchise. We are just hoping things have changed. I'm in the prove it stage of my fandom and decided not to renew my season tickets after 20 years.
I'm ready for this draft! Let's do this! 2. DE Tyree Wilson 12. DE Nolan Smith 33. C John Michael Schmitz 65. QB Jake Haener 73. Top remaining Cornerback.
