This is the way. Get the defense stout. Get the OL patched up. Find a vertical threat for the upcoming QB in the meantime. We have the running game. Next season team will still be bad enough to hopefully land Maye or Williams and bring them in with a new HC/OC and the team will be ready to hit the ground running. Bringing in a QB this year just seems wasteful with so many other holes on the roster and not a clear talent advantage from the guys in the 2024 class. That poor kid would get his brains kicked in with this horrific offense and poor coaching staff.

This is the dream scenario for me.
Will it work out that way? That’s the hard part

You can always fine guys in the trenches but QB1s are hard to find.

Pipsqueak. Nah, I say build a sack attack and defense quarterbacks will fear. We need a couple JJ Watts of old!

If Todd McShay is down on him because of his size, I'm all in. McShay and Mel Kiper are among the most incorrect when it comes to predicting who will be successful in the nfl at QB.

Everybody knows we can draft let’s say Bryce and don’t have to play him right away right?? And still continue to build up the team.

For sure. I’m not convinced there is a QB1 in this draft. Bryce has the tools, but it’s hard to be QB1 if one hit ends your career

One hit can end anyones career. Pocket presence, awareness and football IQ offers better protection than being a few inches taller IMO.

I understand the size concern but think some are grossly underestimating him because of this alone.

McShay and Kiper are idiots but Bryce Young's size is a real concern, its the main reason I can't buy in to him being a franchise qb

For sure people are underestimating him because of his size. There has never been a 5’9/10 185 QB that doesn’t have 4.4 speed.

It doesn’t matter how talented he is (he is stupidly talented) if he can’t take hits.

He has pocket presence and some escapability, but he is more likely to be hurt by a 300 lb Lineman than someone that is 40 lbs heavier than him

Trever Lawrence has prototypical size and yet sucks. Young is similar in size to Kyler Murray, Drew Brees, Russell Wilson

He’s not similar size to any of them.
He has a very slight frame. Kyler, Russ and Brees are all pretty sturdily built

How many 5'10 QB's have won SB's? Are you betting Young is the guy to break the trend? I'm more worried about his ability to be successful in the NFL. Manziel/Flutie/Kyler etc... were great college QB's (Some would say they were better college QB's) and they washed out in the NFL.

I need Bryce to slip to the Cleveland pick because of his size.

I’ve said before my dream draft

    1 Anderson
And then Bryce with the Cleveland pick or possible trade up
