We don't know who is far or against Stroud in the bldg but my guest is Cal is taking a back seat and letting whoever make the decision, which is the problem! And yes, let's hope Hannah comes through.

If I'm the owner, regardless of how much faith I have in my GM and 1st yr Head coach, I know we need a QB. I will let them know, regardless if Bryce is there or not, we are picking the 2nd best QB in the draft! You can't win big w/o a QB.

BROCK PURDY IS MORE OF AN OUTLIER THAN A CONSTANT.

Purdy is more of an outlier than someone of Young's size being successful in the NFL, yet people use Purdy and the niners as the example for their ideal agenda. Funny how it works.

mike Florio alluded to this on the rich eisen show. Until cal comes out and says Nick is not going anywhere, Nick not leaving is just coming from Nick himself

    This.

Coming around to the fact that if we do get Stroud he will have

    Top 10 O-line
    Top 10-15 RB
    Top 10 TE
Possibly his Teammate WR in JSN

He will be setup for decent success it really isn’t that bad of a starting point for him.

His situation could be better than Bryce from a weapons standpoint

Yep whoever our QB will be is setup decently I’m not going to say good but decent even if it’s Levis at 2 ( hope not )

Would love for if we draft a QB at 2 to sit for a year but doubt it

    I'm hoping for this

1-2 Anderson after trading down with Seattle

    1-12 Bijan
    2-33 Schmitz
    2-40 from Seattle trade Musgrave

Picks late rd QB like Bennett/Tune/O'Connell to compete with Mills. Draft a QB in 2024.

You can't blame the win against the colts on Lovie as he's a head coach who's job it is to win.
But Lovie made the Sauce pick, not Nick!
Lovie did however almost assuredly know he would be canned after the game anyway and had nothing to lose so you can't hang the loss on him. That is on Caserio.

Lovie is the person responsible for us taking Stingley over Sauce.
He's STATED this before more than once!

But Nick is the one responsible for us losing the #1 pick!
He SHOULD HAVE traded Cooks before the last game when he would have gotten Much more than a 5th and 6th!
He STILL could have sat down Cook and/or Mills for the final game of the year.
With Cooks he had the built in excuse of not wanting to get him injured and destroy his trade value.
He could have used a similar injury excuse for Mills!
He could have ordered Lovie not to play them as well, although that one could have been problematic.
Lovie seems prideful and vindictive enough to repeat the convo back to the press afterwards for a little "payback"!

But regardless losing the #1 pick (and control of the draft) is 150% on Nick Caserio and imo such an extreme example of shortsightedness, miscalculation, timidity, incompetence and gross negligence that it should be a FIREABLE OFFENSE!

It's the job of a GM to look out for the best long term interests of the team first and foremost and Nick FAILED at that miserably at the end of the season!
I really want NC to go somewhere else after the draft!

There are many variables that can manipulate the statistical evidence that is provided. Quality of offensive line play, Quality of receivers, offensive scheme, etc.

There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics

I'm burnt out but more just tired, because I know who the owner and GM are. This idiocy of drafting a LB over a QB or drafting Levis over Stroud are things Caserio is know for. Last yr he took Stingley over Sauce.....OVERTHINKING THE SITUATION.

It's difficult to support a team when the team is paying a GM $6M a yr and he can't even get the 1st rnd picks right!

It’s funny that some here will blame GM and owner if it’s the player they don’t want and give props to Demeco if they draft the player they want.
    Too obvious.

I know some of y’all hate it, but this duo-Caserio and Ryans are making the picks together. So if it’s Anderson, Wilson or Levis, you’re going to have to accept it. Same with drafting a for sure bust in Stroud.

Stroud isn’t worth the 2nd pick. Neither is Levis, but at least Levis has the physical upside of a top 3 QB in the league. Stroud does not
