Yes I did because I'm not stuck in "it has to be a QB" mind paralysis. There are other options. I'm not saying they re the best or worst options. Just that there ARE options.

If you take the player most believe to be the best player in the draft at 2 (I know it's CRAZY to some), this could work out like this draft game did this morning. These just fell into place.
    1-2 Anderson ED (LB)
    1-12 Levis QB
    2-33 Robinson RB
    3-65 Schmitz (C)
    3-73 Washington (TE)

And yes, I would give up upside potential of a pocket passer in a west coast offense for the floor of the rest. Levis is only available if the Colts choose Stroud over Levis. But they run a different system where I think CJ fit's better while levis fits better in the system we will be running. I would not typically draft a RB this high, but can't pass on special at the top of the 2nd rd. Schmitz falls exactly where we need him to fall and Washington has extraordinary physical tools and skills that make him a great system fit.

But like any draft game you play 50 times a day, any one game is out of the ordinary.

For example, say you do take the Stroud/Young leftover at 2, but at 12, somehow Levis or AR are there. Do you double down on another QB because of the opportunity? Do you try to find a desperate team to trade with? OPTIONS and unexpected OPPORTUNITIES are just part of the draft.

Said like a pretentious philosopher wannabee, a butterfly effect of each teams pick.

Ah yes. The day when we change from griping about what we should do to griping about what we did.

It's really funny when insiders speculate like the rest of us while not using insider sources. Then followers insist they should be believed because they are insiders.

yeah I bet Lovie would have turned down the hc job and gone to some other team that wanted him unless he had control over the first pick. Be real.

Or is it a clue that they want him at 2 and have been down playing their interest?

I rolled a 20 side die and it said we are drafting Anderson at 1.2.

I rolled it again and it said it is 50/50 if we trade down to 1.3 or 1.4

FWIW I am expert at rolling a 20 side die.

If Adam is wrong this would be hilarious… still waiting on Ian cause he still believes Carolina hasent made the decision yet.

I would also think if Carolina already made there decision.. why bring in Cj/AR/Levis still??

Panthers wouldn't be expected to take Richardson at #1, but could consider him a possible option If they traded down to #2
