Alabama has netting in the ceiling that makes deep passes more difficult and Bryce's receivers dropped multiple passes.

So was better than CJ overall on his pro day? Bryce pro day was very solid… I just don’t think it was better than CJ.. but that’s just me suppose. But like I said it doesn’t mean nothing. I’ll gladly welcome him to the Texans.

Phil Simms giving Young the nod of approval may spell doom similar to when he had Zach Wilson over Lawrence.

From the clips: I hate Youngs drop back mechanics. Eerily similar to Tom Savage. Getting up on his tippy toes for long distance throws wont cut it. Looks even smaller in this workout. Not impressed like I'd hoped to be, but it is what it is.

It's Chris Simms and he actually has CJ Stroud as his number 1 QB.

If I had to judge, I would say CJ's was better, but I'm not surprised there. He is the purer pocket passer out of the two and the receivers he's throwing to are vastly better.

Wow, didn’t mean to upset you. I wasn’t talking about just Young. How many first round QBs are you going to not draft because their 40 was slow or they didn’t jump high enough? Would you have not drafted Peyton Manning because he ran the 40 in 4.8 or Ely who ran the 40 in 4.92? How about Phillip Rivers at 5.08 or Jameis Winston at 4.97? He wasn’t a first rounder of course but Brady ran a 5.28.

Point is, for QBs, the athletic testing at the combine means squat compared to game film.

If CHRIS thinks CJ at 1 then its a certainty that Young will be All Pro - sign me up! Cant wait for the parades!

Not upset in the least, you just are too defensive. And much better QBs than young and Stroud have done testing.
Honestly, Young has the most to answer athletically because of his lack of size, can’t be slow and small.
All of the quarterbacks you mentioned had elite size and didn’t need to move as much to get throws off

I've always looked at pro-days as opportunities for teams to try and pick up on any red flags. Based on what I saw and read of both of their pro-days I don't think either QB exhibited any red flags or issues that weren't already common knowledge (like Young's size). So from that perspective I doubt either pro-day changed teams' opinions at all.

There is a difference in quick feet and running speed. Guess if these coaches and GMs thought it was necessary they would make that known.

Nolan Smith's Jr. tape verifies his testing. Dude is fast has great bend and is a very sure tackler.

Hope he's there at 1-12 and he's the pick.

You could do a lot worse than Young (I've resigned myself to he's going to be the pick.) Smith at 1-12 and one of Washington/Musgrave/Schmitz/Hyatt at 2-33.

I’m not sure on who had a better pro day. But I think the best part about Bryce young, and the reason I want him more than any of the other guys, is his ability to process and read defenses and pick them apart off schedule.. hard to show that in a scripted pro day session. But the tape shows it plenty for me.

Now that Kincaid may drop, and we have Dalton. I would say Young, Nolan Smith, Hyatt/Schmitz, then get Kincaid later. But we’ll see.

I believe he's the choice if there at 12 rather than a WR. It is a bias toward the FREAKS.
