Lamar has one playoff win and has been injured the last 2 seasons and he wants a fully guaranteed contract but teams will get desperate

Lamar Jackson's career high in passing yards in a season is lower than Kyle Allen's.

And Kyle Allen did this in 12 games.

And on top of that, Lamar has missed time every year he's played, I believe.

The Ravens traded the deep threat and broke up the TE group that made them successful with Lamar. But I believe Lamar wasn’t injured and shut it down on them this year as a way of playing hard ball with contract negotiations. The Ravens know it and can’t prove it which is why they’re pissed.

The problem Lamar has is that no one wants to make a worse version of the Cleveland deal With Houston. Which lets you know the Texans won the deal. I’d be shocked if Lamar got $250 million every penny guaranteed. Plus the team would have the give the Ravens 3-1sts & 3- 2’s. That’s insane.

That Panther trade was nuts. If the Texans felt like they would have lost their guy, they would have traded up. I think Ben Albright is probably correct in that the Texans had indications about what Carolina would do.

Looks like BY time in Houston.

Also with a new coach coming in, I have my doubts a GM is going to risk his job trading up for a guy whose measurables are a red flag. You are just asking to get fired. All that draft capital, you can’t miss, so you probably are taking the the highest floor prospect which is CJ Stroud.

Carolina taking Stroud would be perfect. Texans still get Young with no need to give up anything. Take BPA at 12 and the best remaining TE at 33.

Lamar also has led the league in QB rushing yards a couple of times, has led the NFL TD passes and won a league MVP. Can’t leave that out. LOL…

True but there is a reason the ravens aren’t meeting his demands and they know him better than anyone.

That was 4 years ago though and he hasn’t shown he can be that mvp guy again. Not with these injuries.

I would actually prefer for the Colts to gut their team and give a Watson-like contract to Lamar. Certainly beats them drafting a good QB that will hound us for years to come like Manning and Luck.

The Texans are not taking Bryce Young. There's a reason why they were "scared to death" one week and "all in" the next. Its called "hype".

No one in the Texans organization has ever said they were scared to death. That was McShay immediately after he said Young was the best QB in this class.

    More from McShay

“I love Bryce Young, I really do,” McShay told Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer. “I know he’s 195 pounds; a really good friend of mine who’s a scout had him at 5-10 1/2.

“But I met with him, I’ve talked to him. He’s special. He’s different. He has the poise, the presence in the pocket, the playmaking, everything else you want.

Aside from his physical attributes, Young’s quarterbacking talent is indisputable.

McShay compared the prospect to Patrick Mahomes earlier this month.

“Bryce Young is a smaller version of Patrick Mahomes,” McShay said on Feb. 17. “The presence in the pocket, the ability to feel pressure coming, the ability to see the whole field and make all the throws with good touch and timing … he is different from these other guys.”

    This is McShay’s actual statement

“I absolutely love Bryce Young. I would bet on him.”

“If I’m a GM, I’m scared to death of drafting him,” he added.

    Does this make any sense?

If you listen closely to McShay, you can hear the inebriated-vocabulary. Makes sense.
