He didn’t win the Heisman in 2022. He won it in 2021 and they were 101 in sacks allowed according to this site where only FBS schools played each other. It doesn’t account for padding the stats by playing lower level schools.

Either way, that’s not an indicator of poor Oline imo. Sacks are on Oline and QB, I’d need to see their breakdowns in other data.

The link I sent has 2021 as well, they ranked similar to this year. Not elite, not bad. Some areas really good and some average

At best the OL was so so. Young played behind probably the worst OL at Bama in a decade.

Your comment was to this post

“Plus he had an elite offensive line during his Heisman year and didn’t see much pressure until the NFL.”

Since there is only one Heisman winner in this class, I assumed that is who you were referencing. My bad

Brother, sacks can be on whole offense. Did the WR get separation to get open for timing of the play? Did RB pass pro to stop blitzing LB/DB for getting to QB? Sacks mostly get pinned on matador OL or QB for holding it too long, but in reality execution is on all 11 players.

Looking back at Peyton Manning this is really true. His offensive line really wasn’t elite, but the sheer control Manning had over the routes that his receivers ran, his pocket movement and the timing that he got the ball out made them look elite.

Want weapons put this guy with Hyatt/Musgrave/Achane to go with Hooker.

    Speed/Speed/Speed.

    Chiefs like.

    Hyatt- Low 4.3
    Musgrave- Low 4.5
    Achane - High 4.2

This is what the Texans offense has been missing for years. It isn't unrealistic that this could happen.

Now your talking! I'll take a look at your later picks, but your first 5 are home runs imo--well done! We're adding violent speed and freak athleticism on defense and game-changing acceleration/quickness with that RB/WR. While I like Carter a bit better than Mr. Anderson, giving Demeco this Alabama weapon to deploy on his defense would be really fun to see. Drew is one of my favorite players in the draft and when its all said and done will be Top 15, maybe Top 10 pick. Adding Will and Drew to our front 7 would be AWESOME! Musgrave is a bit of a wild card with injury this year, but received rave reviews at the Senior Bowl and is rising as well because of his size/athleticism combo is terrific. I love the idea of adding both Achane and Dell to our team. We need some "fireworks" and these two would add some zing to our offense--see what Slowik could do with these weapons. Would be really excited with these 5 picks.

Miller would be a nice contrast to the Achane pick and give us 3 young studs in the backfield. Stromberg has a good combination of brains, brute strength and experience to maybe be a Year 1 starter--not bad for 5th Rd. Finley could be a late rd find... https://www.nfldraftdiamonds.com/2022/12/aj-finley/ I love adding his size to our DBs, could be very useful against big TEs/WRs. Love the Texas theme with TCU players and Dee Winters is a steal in the 6th rd. I've seen him projected from 3rd-6th, but he's a bit of a tweener and that may allow him to slip. Would be a great add and should be super on ST as well. Your last pick Jaiden Woodbey is probably only one I'd pass on. He's pretty close to Winters in what he'd bring to the team. I'd take a shot on a QB, WR or IOL here.

If we came away with the draft haul you laid out, I'd give us a solid "A" to maybe even an "A+". Really nice work.

As for the FA signings, I like them all and think this is likely approach Caserio takes versus spending big money. Although Allen could play DT some, I would love to add an IDL and maybe a Dalvin Tomlinson can be had for less than Hargrave or Payne. Again, good job.

    This is the way.

I’ve gone back and forth between Anderson and Young and I just feel like Caserio might not want to spend top draft capital on a QB.

Anderson will fill the void of an elite defensive lineman that we desperately need. Pairing him with sting Harris and pitre is just too good to pass up.

Also love the pick of sanders…but I might go back and forth between sanders and another CB ike Porter Jr or Gonzalez.

The offensive system we are going to employ to a degree is very QB friendly and we might not necessarily need to spend the top pick on a QB. We can draft one later and develop them.

And I’m not saying start mills another year but a bridge QB like jimmy G or brissett will be just fine and we have the draft capital next year to move up or trade for a QB if need be.
