They're there. They just don't show up.
1 sack called back on penalty
1 sack on a ball baby Carr got rid off just before his knees hit the turf.
1 Fumble Recovery for a TD that was wiped out due to a chippy P.I on Shaq

A lot of "that's baseball" luck for him.
    Adjusted stats:
4 sacks, 2 TDs, 12 qb hits in 8 games. Those are mid season Rookie defensive player of the year numbers and he is as good as it gets stopping the run.

Much of this logic applies to Anderson.

Same number of sacks as JJ had his first 8 games (2). He will be fine. TJ had 4 through his first 8.

Saw a clip earlier and can't find it now where Area 51 shuts down an entire redzone possession for the Buccs with three plays in a row.

Sacks are NOT overrated. They have very nearly the same impact as a turnover. Conversion rates and drive length are significantly impacted by a sack. Forcing a 2nd or 3rd and 10+ yards very often - like, almost every time - results in a punt.

But, yes: if a player is disrupting the passing game, sans sacks, that also has tremendous value and I do think it's overlooked because fans want a number (sack) they can place on the value.

Lol he knocked #69 to the ground which freed up Davis for the sack. The sacks will come but there is clip after clip like this where WAJ disrupts the play to cause an incompletion, TFL or a sack for someone else. Really need to add talent at DT to help him out.

Not to beat a dead horse but what Saleh and the other posters are saying is that a player's sack numbers can be overrated because there are a lot of contributing factors, not that a sack is overrated.

Look at our guys and good for Clowney too. Really wanted him here. Greenard, Area-51 and Clowney with either moving inside on every other down.

Because we aren’t getting enough push from the inside and DeMeco doesn’t like to blitz very often.

Should be DROY. Carter only has 1 more sack on a front seven that is stacked. Everything else, Area 51 leads the way.

Don't worry after we win out and win division and make the playoffs all those awards will be ours. Demeco coach of the year. Stroud mvp. WAJ defensive rookie of the year. All good.

Other than Jackson, Murray has to be the second most difficult qb to bring down.
Press the hit stick and mofo still slides.
