Even if we had drafted Levis or Young, the team still would be missing out on far superior prospects in Williams and Maye
I agree. That’s why the only QB I would have taken at 2 was Bryce. And preferred to just take Anderson at 2 and keep our picks
LOL. You don’t know what Maye is. Last 4 games of 2022 should make you re-evaluate. Williams is going #1 overall. So, the Texans would have to win less than 4 games. That was not going to happen with Demeco. Bird in the hand is worth much more than 2 in the bush.
I'm almost to the point where I would pick Maye over Williams. If Mills is as bad as some think then only winning 4 games shouldn't be a problem. If they had played their cards right they would have had three 1st rd picks in the next draft. Hopefully Stroud is a great QB because nobody wants this bird to crap in your hand.
LOL, what? If the Texans win only 4 games, they won't have their pick anyway. They have the Browns' pick. And how would they have 3 1st? Texans were never trading their 22 - top of the draft 1st. And you are Drunk to pick Maye over Williams (even if Williams is an *******). No way the Texans' were rollin' with Mills again.
Maye over Williams is already being discussed. That’s what happens when you have two elite prospects in same draft
And I’m fairly certain he was saying if we didn’t draft Stroud and ran with Mills or a vet this year. Was stupid as hell trading our pick next year
If Williams and Maye are the greatest prospects, the only way the teams drafting 1st and 2nd are trading away the pick is if they have a top 5 qb on their roster already, like if the Bengals suffered 12 major injuries and went 2-15. Texans couldn't tank correctly last year, you guys think they would go out to purposely lose with a new coach. It was never going to happen. But I would be intrigued in seeing how Stroud and Bryce do compared to the other guys not named Drizzy and Caleb coming out next year. Got to let things play out a bit
If they would have picked WA at 1-2. Then traded down from 1-12 they could have picked up another 2014 first. Then they would have had Texans 1st, where they only win 4 games max. Browns 1st Traded for 1at. This isn't brain surgery, well I guess it might be for you Right now I've got 1. Williams 2. Maye, but it's close and if Maye plays well then I definitely could see him moving up to 1-1. The guys really talented.
Um, No. No one was giving up a 2024 1st round pick for #12. No team received a future 1st for anyone outside the Top 10 in this years' draft. There was no player at #12 worth that much. Obviously, it is brain surgery for you.
