Every player needs to earn it. Wow, can’t believe this has to be said. Stroud needs to demonstrate on the field that he is the best QB. If he’s not, then he needs to sit until he’s ready. This sends a strong signal to all players that only results are rewarded. No entitlement mindset. Players will work harder as a result.
When I said I hope Stroud doesn’t begin the season as the starter, the same MFers that are now saying “he has to earn it” were demanding for him to start right away so we could “see what we have now and move off him quickly since he’ll bust” Y’all don’t know what y’all want smh just talking
I have said multiple times we need to see what he has, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t need to earn it. Those two things aren’t mutually exclusive. Being handed something and failing can break a team. Earning it struggling you can still have support.
I said this and still believe in learning by doing. Lets get this show on the road and find out what they've got. There's marketing to be done.
Actually wasn’t talking about you at all this time. That’s the crazy thing. But word is he’s better than Mills during camp. Whether you like it or not. Even if that means less mistakes.
Because he hasn't coached in the NFL in 8 years, and got fired twice in 5 years as a HC with 2 teams. But he's got Belichick rings, so we should all listen to him
I mean that's a good comeback, but I also genuinely meant how would he know who's winning camp? He hasn't been at camp has he?
He hasn’t been at camp. He’s solely making his assessment off the first preseason game. I would say he’s making the statement to make headlines.
I wouldn't be mad at the veteran free agent starter/rookie holds clipboard formula. In this case, I wouldn't mind Keenum as starter with Stroud backing him up. Giraffe can be third string. I think it's good for Stroud's long term success.
Keenum couldn't even make it through half of a preseason game against 3rd and 4th stringers without getting hurt.
A natural throwing on the run on those rollouts. My favorite pass was where he evaded the edge rusher to give Noah a chance. It wasn't luck but instinct. He felt the rusher, took a different angle before rolling out and that rusher dived at air. Wanted them to try at least 1 long ball.
