It’s funny you mention the LOS throws.. feels like you hated it when ppl mentioned the only reason Levis had any accuracy was because 75% of his throws were screens.
Watch the tape. That’s all I can say. I brought that up specifically because people kept saying that and when you watch the tape it’s not as prevalent. So these games when he should have had at minimum 4-6 picks, the stat line shows high completion percentage and no turnovers. When you watch Ohio St, they go down field against weaker opponents. Not so much when it’s stronger defenses.
There’s not a single game that Levis played that comes close to Stroud’s performance against Georgia and that’s indisputable.
@cmoak1982 one of his main talking points for Levis was his athletic ability and how he could be the next "Josh Allen." He ran for a solid -47 yards last year. The statue that is CJ Stroud put up 108. Blows my mind. But wait... theres more. Will Levis against SEC competition. 7 games. 8 TD's vs 7 picks. On the year 10 picks on 283 attempts(3.5% INT per throw) with an 8.3 Yards per Attempt CJ Stroud- On the year 6 picks on 389 attempts(1.5% INT per throw) with 11.9 Yards per Attempt. Its time to stop arguing with a troll.
I like his mechanics. His dropback is fluid and he generates tons of power and drive with his solid foundation. Smoother than Bryce Young IMO.
Um, Levis' game against Georgia is NOT IN THE SAME GALAXY as Stroud's performance against the Bulldogs. 67.6% completion %, 4 TDs/0INTS, 348 yards. 10.2 Y/A Levis: 2022: 64.5 completion%, 206 yards, 1TD/1INT, 6.6 Y/A 2021: 76.2 completion%, 192 yards, 2 TDs/0 INTs, 4.6 Y/A. In his "good game", Levis was captain check down against Georgia. Look at the Yards/Attempt. It also seems that Georgia got film on him and clamped down.
I take elite accuracy over elite ball velocity any day of the week. The more film I watch on the Stroud the more impressed I am by his ability to hit the receivers not only in stride, but right on the hands. That’s where he can be the best in the league.
It gets disregarded, but its very important to be on time and accurate on screens to the outside and slants. Hitting in stride is a huge part of it.
Sadly, those targets might be better receivers than any currently on the Texans' roster.... (I kid, I kid....)
Man i don’t get it. Levis has great tools but honestly trying to pump his performance on the field is wild
Yeah, now do 21 when he wasn’t hurt. Only a fool would think Stroud is anywhere close to the athlete Levis is
