Unfortunately CJ can’t move like them.
And his processing under pressure has regressed. Not a good combo

Stroud was able to do it last year too. I miss that Stoud. The QB we thought made the players around him better. I hope he is still in there somewhere.

At this point I need the team to get a good OL/New OC and give time to CJ to see what he truly is made off next season. This season has gone down the drain already.

I’d like to see how they measure this.

Maye out here getting crushed, they get him a line and a halfway decent receiver he’s gonna be a dog

To be fair he did have really good receivers most of the year. There were only 3 games where he was limited to only Tank or only Nico. The rest of the games he had Tank and Diggs, or Tank and Nico, and 4 with all three. I agree 100% on him needing a better offensive line, and think we need new offensive coaches. Whoever else has seemed to make us look worse with the addition of Mixon and Diggs should be replaced.

CJ will definitely do better with less pressure, but isn't ever going to be the tough guy who runs through holes and makes big plays downfield like Allen or Lamar. That's fine, as long as he can thread a needle without a lot of pressure. This year will hopefully be his toughest, and if we fix what isn't helping him it could change everything. But, I wish he didn't take so many steps backwards before throwing or hesitate so long to the point of a sack. Hopefully better offensive coaches can design better plays and critique to help him become really great. But....the O-Line needs some studs!!! I want a top 5 offensive line to get the best CJ possible.

Same qb they always mention. Vick a qb who won nothing but run around and make madden players use their qb like rb

These clowns push the running black qb cause they fear black dropback passers and hold those passings records sacred

I was talking about Maye with the receivers.
CJ has plenty of options, or had rather

I'd much prefer this be about the evolution of the RUNNING QB and not Black QB. When will we get over this preoccupation with race and just enjoy the game?

Went back and watched all the condensed games available on the youtube, from where the infestation began Halloween night to the KC game. 8 interceptions later, 7 of them all came within the pocket. The one out of pocket interception was the missed TD vs the Lions that ruined our Fantasy week for those that had Dell starting.

What all 8 ints had in common was the obvious from the first time watching live: No lower body to finish his throws. Five of those 8 ints were the right read with no zip that sailed.

The Miami game stood out for a comment Harlan makes that went over everyone's head. "It's almost like they're breaking off these plays on purpose because Stroud is not comfortable in the pocket whatsoever." Green:" They're having much more success with the off script plays this season."
I remember seeing the out of structure charts on the Twitter TL after the Dolphins game and he was right behind the untouchable referee friendly KC qb. It should be even better after the KC game.
Can't find it but here is the one from Nov 20.

    TLDR,
For the playoffs, they need to move the pocket at the rate they did before Tank went out in the KC game. Because he is still not comfortable in it for whatever reason. The line has been much better with the time given to throw the ball.

I remember CJ turning Williams around after the game against the Bears and saying "you are going to be a hell of a player in this league." Williams looked disinterested. CJ kinda of looked silly at the time and now that comment really sounds silly. CJ has been taught a valuable life lesson. Pride comes before the fall. If he goes on "tour" again this off season that will be a sign he has completely lost perspective. He needs some serious work on this game. I hope CJ saw Darnold's performance today. This guy has resurrected himself and his game. CJ needs to do the same.

He won’t have to worry about going on tour because no one’s going to give a damn about him this offseason.

Josh Allen might agree. He had over 500 yards and 12 rushing touchdowns. In fact, only Jalen Hurts has more rushing touchdowns.

Its not just Allen --- Maye, Levis, Mahomes (does he even count for the Proud Boy?), Purdy, Burrow, Herbert, Nix, Baker, Lawrence. Pretty much every single successful current team has a mobile QB. Its the evolution of the sport and has nothing to do with the BS politics idiots throw out.

Darnold and Goff seem to be the outliers, but then again look at the peripheral talent around them.

I wonder if Gov. Wallace wants to talk about the cornerback position? I'd bet he has all sorts of fantastic conspiracy theories for that one too.
