His mother has no business being on twitter in that manner. Your son is a starting QB for an NFL franchise. Of course there is going to be criticism.
Kids these days coming out prioritize trying to look cool over making sound football plays. Going to take some time for him to grow up. Until then don't expect this team to win anything.
Too much hype was given to him last season anointing him as one of the best after just one season, of course the o-line has been horrendous, but this past game he made mistakes that he doesn’t usually make with decent protection. He’s definitely regressed this year. And along with that the team was hyped up to be a Super Bowl contender and started off the year thinking highly of themselves before accomplishing anything and now they’re getting a dose of reality.
Some of it is on him. He's regressed, this doesn't mean he can't improve. In fact I expect him to improve.
I was waiting on the "Too much offseason touring & podcasting" blame on him. Surprised there wasnt more fan grumbling on it. CJ isnt "that" humble really. A cocky CJ with a chip on shoulder is a good CJ. But its difference in cocky confidence and all out arrogance. With how quick an NFL career can end, I agree with getting everything out of life while its there. But I personally would have liked his offseason travel to have ended sooner than it did. 3 extra non-travel weeks wont fix line protection issues and Slowick predictability, but maybe enough to keep mechanics sharper
LOL CJ was right -- good to know that he understands the business. "they will love me this week and hate me the next"
Its as if he’s having his rookie year now and making mistakes that he was expected to make last year. It’s just hard to watch since he was almost flawless last year. But hey, OL is sucking and we are dealing with a lot of injuries but we still in this. I for one am still ecstatic to have CJ and trust that he will be that guy to give us a shot. He will learn from this and get better Im sure, geez its only year two for crying out loud.
