IIRC, Rivals and 247 whiffed on DJ while Tom Luginbill of ESPN had him ranked ~#60. All 3 services had Bryce in the top 5.

If you've just heard about him, you can't believe it and won't. If you've seem him, you can't believe it, but will.
Those 5* QBs usually end up being busts. Like that Malachi Nelson kid from 2023 who transferred from USC to Boise St after one year and has subsequently lost the starting job at Boise St to 3* Maddux Madsen. Sometimes they overrate these kids bc they perform well at camps or do well against weak HS teams. That Alabama QB Ty Simpson comes to mind. Was ok against sub par 2A Tennesse highschool teams but benefitted from getting the best private coaches and camp visits money could buy. Yet he still couldn’t beat out Jalen Milroe who can’t hit the side of a barn.
