Its not that its so flagrant, its just more hes put more players around the league on notice cause he talks about them. More mature and calm players will take it in stride, but in a league full of brutes, some might take it the wrong way and want to deal pain for something they thought was a mountain but in reality was a molehill.
He’s done a lot of rankings, talking about other teams this offseason. Maybe you don’t keep up with it, but I know for sure there are players on other teams that do.
I've watched some of it, and I don't see what yall are seeing. Other than example of that, where are the examples of other NFL players reacting poorly to it? I think yall are making waaay too much of this. Or as @HeyNow said: "The offseason is looooooooooooooooong"
Both false humility and braggadocio are just deviations from TRUTH, which should be the standard Let your yes be your yes and your no be your no. All else is specious.
The last grateful, humble, kid started assaulting masseuses.. he can say what he wants, just back it up and be a good person.
Lol I don’t care to bring up the bad takes all the time, goodness that’s been beat to death. I do find it hilarious that we are over here worried about how many podcasts our qb is talking on, and meanwhile, Chronicles boy had a sex tape leak..
Stroud was never humble. Go back to last year's camp. Voted as the one who talked the most ish by the vets. He was given option A, Eli or B, Rodgers to choose from. It's not like he summoned the lab researcher/ bad azz QB out of the air. Heard a Fox sports radio from Milwaukee say he also would have rather had two parades than one.
At least one site added 'dead' to their initial report which was picked up by at least one other site. SO Tank shot was reported as Tank shot dead. I'm glad I waited for the rest of the story.
Stroud is very much humble. He just likes to talk ****. Most of the guys he talk **** to, he’s actually cool with. That’s what makes the game fun for certain people.
I'll just throw this out there. I'm a third generation grade skipper so my point of view is a bit different. But I think viewing CJ as having skipped a grade might be useful in projecting his performance for 2024. Don't copy and past normal sophomore seasons for QB whether improvements or struggles and look to how QBs do in their 3rd seasons for expectations. Viewed in this light, it may also explain the quick shift in surrounding him with playoff winning talent since it gives us 4 years of rookie or rookie influenced contract control rather than 3 which you would normally expect with a QB going into his 3rd season who progressed normally with a breakout in his second year. Let's take advantage of this expanded window and hope we will also make an adjustment to keep the window open for another decade. I do not want to temper my expectations in any way. I want to hope for the best case scenario where we are building a lasting dynasty.
CJ better walk the walk if he's going to talk the talk thats for sure. I dont take issue because its being done within the realm of taste and 'fun'. If he's going to be given extra attention because of what he's saying then it means the Houston Texas will gain an advantage. The thin line between confidence and cocky is output.
