They were single then and college kids. Maybe she loved him, but wasn't going to be pushy and stop him from seeing other girls, and it wasn't about the "prize" as you say. Or, maybe they both just wanted to date others, but fell in love later. They weren't married then. Marriage, and raising a family is a completely different commitment.
Stroud and Dell are going to terrorize defenses. You wanna forget the running game? Can you imagine adding Evans or Brian Thomas to this offense?
I sure hope so because if you listen to him on pods and stuff where he's relaxed with other former NFL players and current players he REALLY loves Cali and LA too. Hopefully that's not an issue and this team is good enough to where he's not thinking of playing there and its so far away right now its not a conversation but he's always bragging about how California is the best state, got the best this, the best that, etc etc.
He also says how much he loves Ohio. To me it isn't a big deal at all. Besides it's not something the Texans will have to worry about for another 8 years at least so long as the team is competitive. As CJ said in that one documentary during last offseason "if I went somewhere, say a WEAK market like Indy, my homies would never come" Houston is a damn good market, and for the Zoomers/Gen Z population, Houston has been fully ingrained in pop culture (largely thanks to Drake ironically)
I will say this eaqrly. We are looking at a unique situation with advanced veteran level play as a rookie. Do not be surprised if he shows some regression as opponents give him veteran respect with the game planning. I'm not saying it WILL happen, but it could.
