Pat has been CJ's number one fan on ESPN since last year after the Georgia game. Said he was the best QB in the draft and wanted Indy to take him at #4 or trade up. People say Texans aren't a marquee team or prime time but CJ gonna change a lot of that.
I could listen to Pat McAfee talk to and about CJ all day. I wish I could like the clip of Pat telling CJ how he's going to reignite the football base in Houston again, twenty times.
Yeah the guys on First Things First agree it’s Lamar, Mahomes, Allen, Burrows, CJ and everyone else. Everyone is picking the Browns to win. Mostly based on east coast bias and fellating old man Flacco narrative, but the smarter ones are pointing out that historically no rookie QB has won a playoff game. RG3 vs Cornball Wilson don’t count since it was two rookie QBs so a rookie had to win but Russel later lost to the ATL in the following game. I believe CJ can change that.
Stroud is 9-3 in his last 12 starts in which he finished the game. Those 3 losses are by a grand total of 8 points.
I want to add that Vegas opened at Browns -1.5 and has risen to -2.5. It's still the tightest spread amongst the 6 WC games and Vegas knows. I have been telling people since the season started and many NFL fans finally catching on. If Stroud is within a score, then the other team is in trouble. It's not rocket science and the advanced stats are backing up what we have known about CJ. I have been sporting a Texans merchandise in LA for years and every day the past two months someone starts a convo with me about the Texans/Stroud. This never happened as frequently as now.
